Dory Funk Jr. Remembers Mike Graham

Dory Funk Jr. - Remembering Mike Graham

Eddie Graham was the owner and genius behind the success of the Florida Territory. The foundation of his territory was built on wrestling and credibility of the wrestlers who worked for him. If you wanted to break into the wrestling business in Florida, You had to prove yourself as a wrestler first.

Eddie Graham, Mike Graham and I were in the Wrestling office upstairs at the Sportatorium at 106 North Albany Street in Tampa, Florida. Down stairs in the arena, Larry Robinson was waiting for a tryout to become a professional wrestler.
Eddie spoke to Mike, "I don't want this guy injured but let him know that you are the boss. He needs to know how tough wrestling can be. I want him to leave here with respect for the wrestling business."

We walked down the steep stairs one floor to the Sportatorium Wrestling arena where Larry Robinson was waiting in the ring for his shot at becoming a professional wrestler.

Mike was all business as he did just a few exercises to warm up then entered the ring and faced off with the Larry Robinson. Mike was quick and aggressive as he dropped in for a single leg take down on Robinson and quickly came up in a riding position on top. Mike moved to the side with a half nelson that put Robinson on his back and slipped into one of his favorite wrestling holds taught to him by Gordon Nelson, the crotch and sugar hold combination. Robinson's face turned red as he tried to fight out of the hold but there was no escaping and just before passing out Robinson Tapped and it was over.

Mike had been wrestling with adults who thought wrestling was easy since he was 11 years old, Protecting the business of professional Wrestling in the Florida Territory. If you wanted to become a professional wrestler, you had to prove your toughness against Mike Graham, Hiro Matsuda or Jack Brisco, no easy way into the wrestling business however there was a high level of respect for professional wrestling in the Florida Territory.

Mike was tough and brought respect to the wrestling business. I had some of my most memorable matches with Mike Graham working throughout the Florida Territory and at the Sportatorium in Tampa with commentary by Gordon Solie and Coach John Heath.

I would like to thank Mike for the respect he brought to the wrestling business that I have benefited from so much.

My condolences to Mike's Wife Diane and his family.

We love you Mike,

In regard to Larry Robinson He was offered the opportunity to brush up on his wrestling skills and then could schedule a return tryout with Hiro Matsuda or Jack Brisco.

Dory Funk Jr.

TNA Live Event Results From Poplar Bluff, MO (10/26) - Jeff Hardy Defends Against Former Champion

Thanks to WrestlingINC.com reader Daniel for sending in these results from last night's TNA live event in Poplar Bluff, MO:

I attended the TNA Impact house show last night in Poplar Bluff and can honestly say it was the best non televised show I have ever been to. They had a low turn out. Maybe 500 tops, but that didn't stop them from putting on a quality show and giving the fans in attendance to meet all of the wrestlers.

The show opened with "Cowboy" James Storm cutting a promo about wanting a fight with Aces and 8's. This led to 2 members of the group coming out to the ring and jumping Storm. Music hit and Mr. Anderson came out and made the save which set up for a tag match later in the show.

Match 1: Christopher Daniels vs. AJ Styles vs. Hernandez
This match was exactly what you would expect. Fast paced and very entertaining. Christopher Daniels was golden during this match. Match went about 10 minutes and ended with Hernandez hitting Daniels with the Border Toss for the win.

Match 2: Knockouts championship. ODB VS Tara
Solid back and fourth knockouts match that saw Tara pick up a clean victory with the Widows Peak.

Match 3: Bully Ray vs Kurt Angle
Angle was not advertised to appear so the place erupted when his music hit and the crowd stayed hot for him the entire match. Kind of a quick match that saw Angle pick up the win with the Angle slam much to the delight of the crowd.

Next up was intermission. During intermission fans were giving the chance to meet Brian and Earl Hebner. As a long time fan it was a huge honor to meet Earl.

Match 4: "Cowboy" James Storm and Mr. Anderson vs Aces and 8's
This was match of the night by far. Solid tag match with a lot of great crowd interaction by Storm and Anderson. Storm and Anderson picked up the win then spent about 5 minutes after the match was over just goofing off in the ring. It looked like both men were really having fun.

Match 5: TNA Heavyweight Title Bobby Roode vs Jeff Hardy
This was probably the worst match of the night. Lots of stalling and very little in the way of action. Jeff Hardy looked extremely sloppy in this one. He picked up the win in about 10 minutes with his version of the Twist of Fate much to the delight of all the kids in the crowd.

Over all it was a great show and gave me the chance to meet Tara, Bully Ray, Christopher Daniels, Mr.Anderson and Earl Hebner. I will definitely attend a TNA event again.

Written by Andrew Black & Vivian Lee, and James Berg & Stan Zimmerman, the movie is scheduled to go into production in early 2013.

"We are so pleased to partner with a tremendous network like ABC Family," WWE Studios President Michael Luisi said. " '25 Days of Christmas' is one of the biggest cable programming events of the year and is the perfect release platform for this engaging holiday title."

Dolph Ziggler Says He Looks Up To And Hates John Cena, Plans To Be More Selfish In The Ring

Arda Ocal (@arda_ocal.) of the Score TV in Canada and the Baltimore Sun recently had the chance to speak with WWE Superstar Dolph Ziggler about a number of topics. Highlights from the interview are as follows:

How he feels about Zack Ryder's show 'Z: True Long Island Story' potentially ending: "You can't blame that kid for making something out of nothing. He's the reason we have a partnership with YouTube. He's one of the main reasons we have all this new social media interaction and WWE is so big on twitter and we get so many different things trending. All because this kid tries something new outside of the box, to go out there and try and get the fans and WWE to notice him and boy did it pay off for him. And not matter what happens in the end, it was a ground breaking, outside of the box maneuver and he did it and I was more than happy to be a part of it because I thought it was something really unique and really cool."

His thoughts on 3 hour RAW and how the extra hour benefits himself and others: "There's a lot of up and coming Superstars who get maybe 30 seconds of a backstage scene, or maybe get to talk for a quick second, or you see him for a minute or two on T.V., every Superstar is fighting every week to be a part of 'I just want to be on T.V. for a few minutes. I just want to let everyone see how good I am at this'. I'm one of the ones who's constantly fighting every week for 30 seconds of air time, or maybe 5 seconds of a promo. And with this extra hour, it's a chance to create new Superstars."

Where a rivalry with John Cena ranks for him in his career: "He's been someone that I've looked up to, but also hated for the last five years, because he is the face, he is the franchise of the WWE. And there's been guys that have become World Champion and WWE Champion who are still second fiddle to what John Cena and whatever he has going on in his life. So this guy is the guy to be in the ring with. This is the guy to go toe to toe on the mic with. This is the guy to be in the matches with that you will be in the main event. And instead of everyone going 'Hey you had a great match. You should have been in the main event' people will be telling me 'Hey, it was a great match. There's a reason why you're in the main event out there with John Cena, because you do what you do better than everyone else.'"

Other topics discussed include:
His reputation of making others look good in the ring and being pigeon holed as "that guy"
What does he need to do to be more selfish in his matches and career
His 'preemptive' comments as the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion.
Is he looking forward to the next chapter: The Main Event?
WWE's Partnership with HULU
Is he the type of guy to boast about his hits on online programming?
How often he watches his own matches?

The VOC Wrestling Nation is the flagship program of the VOC Nation Radio Network, and can be heard every Wednesday at 5PM ET WORLDWIDE at VocNation.com.

Bucci discussed a variety of topics, and the entire interview can be heard at VocNation.com. Here are some highlights:

On being on the trainers in OVW that worked with Ryback: "I love the guy. People are looking at the guy like he's an overnight success, but nothing could be farther from the truth. Ryback was originally discovered by Ty Bailey (former head of WWE developmental) to be a contestant for the first season of Tough Enough and he didn't make it through. I guess they just didn't think he had "it" at that time.

On Ryback being a wrestling fan: "He got signed to OVW and they used to call him the Silverback. This dude trained so hard inside the ring and out of it. He is a true wrestling fan; in this business, if you're not a wrestling fan, you will not last. You'll make money and get over, but there is a difference between making money and drawing money. The guys in this business who draw money are usually the guys who are fans of the business. He is a true fan and a great guy."

On Ryback being compared to Goldberg: "Bill Goldberg came in and made wrestling cool. He was a butt kicker, and everyone knew who he was. There are three types of fans: 1)People who will always watch wrestling; 2) People who will never watch wrestilng; and 3) People who will watch wrestling when they think it's cool to watch it, and Bill Goldberg brought out those types of fans. People are still talking about Bill Goldberg 10 years after his last match. (Ryback has the potential to be that.)"

On why Ryback will succeed: "(Ryback) busted his ass so hard to make it. This guy will not be a drug addict, he will not be a goof; he will not embarrass the company. If I were a kid right now, I would love this guy; he looks like a real life superhero. He's a larger than life figure. When he comes out, you know things are going to happen, and people are going to get hurt. When you look at the roster, there is nobody else like that right now."

On Ryback being able to survive as a character: "Vince always goes to the muscle guy. They had it with Cena for a long time. (Ryback) has a ton of personality. He can talk, he can do all of that; but people are going to pay to see him kick ass. They're trying to build a star, so for me (on Sunday at WWE Hell in a Cell), he HAS to win. He's gotta hit the finish 1-2-3 in the middle of the ring, no screwjobs. Wrestling titles are fake, nobody wins the title, it's given to you. They have the opportunity to do something special here, and I hope they don't screw it up."

On the days of a slow build-up of a star being gone: "The slow build is done. There are so many channels on TV, and we live in an ADD society. People don't have as much commitment anymore to sit there and salivate over a guy that they hope is being created over 6 months. "

TNA Impact Results - Championship Thursday, Hardy Vs. Angle, Aries-Anderson, Bully Confronts Devon

Welcome to our WrestlingINC.com Live TNA Impact Viewing Party. We will be providing live ongoing coverage of tonight's Impact, while you all can chime in with your thoughts throughout the show.

Please help spread word of tonight's coverage. Twitter users, please share this page by clicking the 'Share' button below:

Keep hitting REFRESH on your browser to get the most up-to-date results.

This week's show starts with a video recap of recent events involving Aces & 8's and Jeff Hardy & Austin Aries. It's Championship Thursday.

We go to Hogan's office. Hogan thanks Hardy for taking TNA to somewhere it would have never gone. Hardy says whoever Hogan chooses for him to face is in for a fight. Hardy leaves as Hogan wishes him luck.

As Hardy leaves, Angle, Bully, Anderson, and Storm are on the other side of the door. The footage slows down and we hear Hardy's thoughts as he passes each man. Weird.

-We go to the ring and after a short pyro display, RVD is introduced. Jeremy Borash and Todd Keneley are on commentary for the first hour.

X-Division Championship: RVD (c) vs. Zema Ion

The crowd starts a loud 'RVD' chant as the men lock-up. They go to a stalemate after a nice exchange. Ion begs-off in the corner. RVD hits a delayed press slam and 2 moonsaults for 2. Ion goes to the outside to recover. RVD hits a baseball slide under the ropes. Back in the ring, RVD sends him in but Ion ducks and RVD flies over the top and to the floor. Ion hits a dive onto RVD on the outside and brings him back in. Ion hits a vertical DDT in the ring for 2. He stomps RVD's face and goes up top but misses with the corkscrew from the corner. Both men struggle to get up. RVD hits a springboard reverse kick and Rolling Thunder. RVD goes up top and connects with the Frogsplash for the win.

Winner by pin And Still X-Division Champion: RVD

Matt Morgan attacks RVD with a big boot to the face as RVD celebrates his win. Joey Ryan gets in also and talks trash to a laid out RVD while holding the title. Morgan tells Hogan that he should be careful in wishing to see a different side of him.

We go to Austin Aries peeking in Hogan's office door in the back. He berates Hogan's movies as we go to commercial.

We're back as Kazarian & Daniels enter the ring. Kaz says that they are the victims of a conspiracy. Daniels has a clipboard in his hands. They get loud 'You Suck' chants. Kaz says their titles were taken illegally by two men who are probably in this country illegally. They have a petition to get a rematch for their titles. They get signatures from fans at ringside. Chavo & Hernandez come out to the ring.

Chavo says he and Hernandez are here to help. Nothing would make them more happy than to give them a rematch. They take out Kaz & Daniels from the ring. Chavo & Hernandez sign the petition and say anytime anyplace.

-We go to Hogan's deliberations in his office. He asks the men why they should get a title shot. Each man makes his case. Hogan eliminates Anderson because he doesn't have the fire. Aries confronts Anderson as he leaves the office and says Aries was going to give him a shot when Aries was champion. Aries says he's a bigger a-hole than Anderson and they brawl. Anderson gets the upper-hand and Aries challenges him to a match for tonight. Somebody yells 'CUT!' as we go to commercial. Is this a movie?

We return to a meeting of Aces & 8's around a table. Devon says he has spoken to the president and under no circumstances will the masks come off. Devon says he has some ladies for entertainment. He says they have to take someone out tonight. One guy gets up and throws a dart at a poster the TNA roster. Devon says they found their victim and they toast with beers.

Jim Ross Blogs On Punk Vs. Ryback, Possible Timeframe For Jerry Lawler's Return, More

Source: JR's BBQ

Jim Ross posted his latest blog at JRSBBQ.com. Here are some highlights:

CM Punk vs. Ryback this Sunday at "Hell In A Cell": "Ryback vs. Punk Sunday inside Hell in a Cell is a head scratcher when attempting to pick a winner. Either Ryback takes his first loss or he leaves the new, WWE Champion. I'm as anxious to see the outcome of Sunday's PPV Main Event as is the next guy.

"Unlike some fans with nothing better to do, I'm not going to over think it the outcome of Ryback-Punk. I've read some amazingly ridiculous theories on the WWE Title bout online but I prefer to draw my conclusions after I have seen the match. Execution, as always, is the key. That's not new news or overly insightful but it is a fact."

RAW this past Monday night: "Enjoyed being in East Rutherford Monday night once again sitting in for Jerry Lawler and working with @MichaelCole. I thought Michael and I had our best outing on Raw to date. As I am reminded daily by fans who follow us here or on Twitter @JRsBBQ, that three hours is a long time to invest in any TV show. All any broadcasters can do is our best to entertain and inform the audience and, above all else, attempt to embellish and better establish the talents."

Jerry Lawler's return: "I am not sure when @jerrylawler is going to return to work but I'm ASSUMING it will be this year which means sometime in November or December. I'm happy to keep King's chair warm until the doctor's say that he can resume weekly travel, etc to broadcast Raw on Monday night's. Jerry's feeling great and seems to improve daily. He's relaxing and enjoying life. Every time I think of his heart attack I think of just how lucky Jerry is to be alive and that if he hadn't been where he was when the attack occurred that he would likely have died."

Much more is contained in Ross' latest blog, including his thoughts on Alberto Del Rio, Daniel Bryan vs. Dolph Ziggler on RAW, the best match he's ever called and much more. You can check out the full entry by clicking here.

WWE Main Event Recap - Ryback Vs. Ziggler, Del Rio Vs. Cara, Orton Issues Halloween Challenge

Welcome to the WrestlingInc.com WWE Main Event Recap.

This week's show begins with the usual opening theme and pyro. Michael Cole welcomes us to Providence, RI. He is in the ring with the Miz. Tonight, Dolph Ziggler faces Ryback. We go to a Ryback video. Then we go to a Ziggler video. These videos are actually really well done every week. We go to Matt Striker in the back who is standing by with Ryback. He asks Ryback what he says to critics who say he is not ready for a title match. Ryback says to watch what he does to Ziggler tonight and that it is feeding time.

We go to Josh Mathews in the locker room who is standing by with Ziggler who has no comment. Josh keeps pressing him and he kicks Josh out.

We go to the ring for Ryback's entrance and then to commercial.

We're back as Ziggler makes his entrance.

Ryback vs. Dolph Ziggler

Lilian Garcia makes the formal ring introductions and the bell rings. Ziggler looks hesitant and he ducks in the ropes but Ryback grabs him and sends him flying across the ring into the opposite corner. Ryback brings Ziggler in the hard way from the apron but Ziggler escapes back out. Ryback goes out and Ziggler gets in a couple of kicks but Ryback shakes them off and catches him in mid-air and slams him down on the floor, then swings him like a bat into the security wall. Ryback sends Ziggler back in. Ziggler squirms his way off of Ryback's shoulders and runs out of the ring and up the ramp as Ryback gives chase. They go to the back as we go to commercial.

We're back as Ryback's music plays and he emerges from the back with Ziggler across his back. That's a lot of "backs." He throws Ziggler in the ring through the second ropes. Ziggler suddenly attacks with clotheslines but Ryback no-sells them. Ryback pounds his chest and catches Ziggler on the 3rd attempt and just drops him on the mat. Ryback puts Ziggler into a vicious bearhug. Ziggler works his way out and side-steps Ryback in the corner. Ziggler hits a double axe-handle from the top as Ryback shakes it off. Ziggler hits a dropkick but Ryback still stays on his feet. Ryback catches Ziggler and delivers a nasty powerbomb. The crowd starts chanting as Ryback goes into his finishing sequence. Ryback hits Shell Shock for the win.

Winner by pin: Ryback

We go to commercial.

Cole and Miz are back in the ring and Cole introduces Paul Heyman who is on the Titantron. Heyman says Ziggler is not in the same category as CM Punk so the punishment that Ryback just dished-out doesn't bother him. He says at least Miz took his beating like a man but Ziggler kept running away. Miz asks him if Ziggler losing is a sing for what happens to Punk. Heyman reiterates that there is no correlation between the two.

We go to Sin Cara's entrance and then a commercial.

Ricardo Rodriguez introduces Alberto Del Rio.

Alberto Del Rio vs. Sin Cara

They lock up and Del Rio takes control with kicks in the corner. Del Rio hits a suplex and floats over for a 1 count. Cara uses his signature agility to get in some shots. Del Rio side-steps and sends Cara shoulder-first into the steel post. Del Rio punts Cara out of the ring and goes out to bring him back in. Del Rio hooks the leg and gets 2. Cara sneaks in a near-fall but Del Rio resumes with a Tilt-A-Whirl backbreaker for 2. Del Rio hits a nasty kick to the head of a seated Cara. More kicks. Cara counters a reversal in the corner and jumps on the apron and leaps but Del Rio swats him to the floor, in a nice exchange. We go to commercial.

Alberto Del Rio Teaming With His Brother, Montenegro Talks About Joining WWE And More

Source: The Miami Herald

We noted before that Alberto Del Rio will be appearing at this Friday's WWE NXT live event in West Palm Beach, Florida for a meet-and-greet plus a match against Kassius Ohno. It's now been revealed that Del Rio will be teaming with his brother, developmental talent Memo Montenegro, to face Ohno and Leo Kruger.

Montenegro spoke with The Miami Herald to promote Friday's live event and here are some highlights:

His father Dos Cara's opinion on his decision to go American:
"My dad loved it. In Mexico, it's a good business, but here it's bigger, and it's a bigger opportunity for me. My dad said in the future if something happens, 'you'll have the background working in the states, and it'll be easier for you to work in Japan, Europe and even in Mexico.' My dad likes that I'm following in the steps of my brother. My brother followed in the steps of my dad, and I'm following in the steps of my brother."

Joining WWE and the American vs. Mexican style:
"I almost started wrestling in Mexico for CMLL, but then I spoke with John Laurinaitis [who was the WWE's senior vice president of talent relations], and he told me they were going to sign me. There's a really big difference between the Mexican style and the American style. There's more psychology in the American style. So to prepare, I also started working with American wrestlers in Mexico. My brother is 6-4, and he weighs more than me, but for me I have good size here in America. I try to mix a little of the Mexican style with the American style. I do high-risk moves and combine it with the American style, so that helps me a lot."

Being in WWE developmental:
"It's an incredible experience. In the three, four months I've been here, I've already learned so much. I can't believe how much I've learned so far. I want to thank Bill DeMott, Norman Smiley, Joe Mercury, Ricky Steamboat, because they really help me and tell me my mistakes to learn from and improve and get better."

Diamond Dallas Page On Scripting The Best Of Nitro, Working With Randy Savage, Then Vs. Now

Former WCW and WWE wrestler Diamond Dallas Page recently sat down with Joe Omega and Frank Manzo of Wrestle Reaction for a long, in-depth interview. Visit WrestleReaction.net for the archive.

Scripting the new "Best Of Nitro" DVD: "The WWE gives me what they'd like to see and I rewrite it the way I want to say it. Because it's my words, and I want to say them the way I want to say them. I'll get their points over, but I'm not gonna be somebody else. I'm not going to take written material like they give the performers every night. This is something very close to my heart."

Working with Randy Savage in WCW: "96 my career and the diamond cutter was starting to take off. So when my whole thing with the NWO started, Randy [Savage] actually went to Bischoff and said "I want to work with him". I would never have gotten that choice; would never have been able to say that. Our feud was so legendary on so many reasons, because we made it believable." ... "Randy Savage had total creative control of his character, and what happened to his character, just like Hulk did. And if Randy Savage didn't think I was a top guy, he never would have done it."

The difference between the late 90's and now: "[Back in the late 90's]..you could get away with a lot more stuff. We weren't G-rated, even though Turner was a family programming...today, the WWE is totally family-based..which is great for the kids. For the older people who really love it, they're going to love it no matter what, and then the other people who are like 'Wow, it's not reality-based enough for me', they're gonna stop watching for a while."

Other topics:

* David Arquette not wanting to win the World Title, and thinking the angle was a joke

* Cody Rhodes eventually turning face, and wanting to work with Randy Orton

* Page's friendship with Eric Bischoff, and the "haters" having no idea who he really is

You can listen to the interview in its entirety, as well as all the archived Reaction shows at WrestleReaction.net. Wrestle Reaction airs live every Tuesday night, including tonight, from 7-8 EST. Be sure to catch them live and follow them on Twitter @Wrestle_React.

Indy Wrestler Escorted Out Of RAW, Vince Joining Twitter?, WWE Looks At AJ Lee Storyline

Source: PWInsider

- WWE's website has a new article up on AJ Lee, asking if she was the worst General Manager ever. They brought up the new storyline with John Cena. Here's part of what they wrote:

"Coincidences are rare in WWE, especially when The Queen Diva is involved, but what if there was more to that dinner than AJ and Cena are letting on? If AJ's fraternization with Cena went beyond a mere business dinner â€" while she was on probation, no less â€" then the title of "Worst GM Ever" just might have a new No. 1 contender.

Although it remains unclear exactly what transpired during that evening repast with the 12-time World Champion, the unorthodox Diva noted on Raw that she's aware that she's been on thin ice for quite some time. With AJ's admission of her shortcomings, it's difficult to blame her too harshly for not living up to the loftiest of expectations. She might not have made a major impact as Raw GM, but at least she never subjected the WWE Universe to so-called "People Power," interrupted Raw broadcasts with incessant emails or waxed poetic about the likes of "MC Punk" or "Randy Norton." Sorry, Mr. Adamle.

So what's next for AJ? The unpredictable Diva explained on Raw that she's gone "from being homeless to being the boss," due in no small part to her lifelong tenacity. Now that AJ is no longer running Raw, her schedule has certainly opened up, and judging by her hair-pulling brawl with Raw's new Managing Supervisor, her buttoned-up lifestyle has hardly hindered her fighting spirit. Perhaps the most exciting chapter of the AJ Lee saga is about to begin."

- There has been talk of getting Vince McMahon or someone portraying Vince McMahon on Twitter.

- New Jersey independent wrestler Starman showed up at RAW in the crowd last night and was quickly escorted out by security after trying to get some publicity.

WWE Takes Steve Austin's Recent Twitter Remark To Sheamus Out Of Context During RAW

As Sheamus was making his ring entrance for his match against CM Punk on Raw Monday, WWE broadcaster and mouthpiece Michael Cole acknowledged WWE Hall of Famer "Stone Cold" Steve Austin's Twitter remark to the WWE Champion on Saturday by taking it out of context.

"Go get em, kid. Always be a student of the game and keep working hard. Safe travels. #respect from the #BSR," Austin wrote.

The statement was in response to Sheamus positively acknowledging Austin's critical remarks regarding his performance level in a recent column for Fighting Spirit Magazine. The SmackDown wrestler tweeted, "Appreciate words from @steveaustinBSR - i strive to get better everyday fella & hard work is something i love.. See me bring Hell in a Cell."

Cole instead branded the exchange as Austin taking the initiative to give the WWE Champion a ringing endorsement on Twitter, and Sheamus responding to it. The WWE Hall of Famer's critical column remarks were not acknowledged on-air.

In the column, Austin offered his opinion on WWE's World Titles and said Sheamus is not ready to be World Heavyweight Champion.

"Sheamus is a big talented dude, no doubt about it. Can he get to where the company wants him to go? That remains to be seen, and there's a lot of work required from both him and the company in order to jump to that superstar level," Austin wrote. "He's doing fine for the amount of time he's been in the business, and there is no disrespect intended, but there are so many aspects that go towards making a guy draw money with the title."

- Vince McMahon announced on tonight's episode of RAW that AJ Lee has resigned as General Manager of the brand. McMahon then named Vickie Guerrero as the show's managing supervisor.

What Happened After RAW Went Off The Air

Thanks to Neil from New Jersey and Daz for sending in these results from tonight's RAW:

After RAW went off the air, Ryback went to the back and high-fived the fans. Sheamus called out The Big Show for their last man standing match. Show came out and said that he's not going to fight him because it woudn't be fair to him, and the people don't deserve to see him perform. Show tried to convince him to go home. Sheamus called him yellow, and asked Show to prove he's a giant, which set Show off.

The two went at it, and Sheamus planted Show with a Brogue kick in about two minutes. Sheamus' music hits and that's it.

The crowd was HOT in the beginning and died after the Dolph Ziggler/Daniel Bryan match.

Gene Snitsky Interested In Forming Tag Team With WWE Star, Rips Drew McIntyre And Heath Slater

Gene Snitsky, who has not appeared for WWE since being released from his contract in December 2008, continues to campaign online for his job back with the sports-entertainment organization.

The 42-year-old wrestler was backstage at Saturday's Raw live event in Reading, Pennsylvania, where he tweeted a photo of himself with Tensai and stated, "Possible new tag team in #wwe? What ya think?" He added to a fan who wants to see the behemoths team up, "Would love to make it happen!!!! Let #wwe know how u feel."

Unlike Tensai, Snitsky is not fond of two of his WWE colleagues. He pondered Friday to his Twitter followers, "How does drew McIntyre still have a job? Just wondering...."

A fan then wrote to Snitsky wondering why McIntyre's 3MB partner, Heath Slater, is also employed by WWE, and the former Superstar responded, "ya him too.... Fukn horrible."

Snitsky continued railing the Scottish grappler by ridiculing for him for his various persona changes over the years: "heez been repackaged so many times I lost count! Ask @CharlieHaas about him!!!" He added that Haas' view on McIntyre rhymes with "bits."

Snitsky then reminisced about the fellow former WWE Superstar purposely clocking McIntyre during a match. He wrote to a follower, "You should hear @CharlieHaas story about the time he punched him in the face during their match! Lmfao."

Snitsky did not see McIntyre at the show to ask himself why he still has a job, but noted that the WWE Superstar already knows how he feels about him.

Only One Cell Match At WWE's HIAC?, Reports From Ryback Vs. Punk Matches, Booker & Sharmell

Source: F4WOnline

- Reports from the Ryback vs. CM Punk matches at live events note that they are getting better each night. Ryback is said to be listening to everything Punk says as far as making the match goes. At last night's show in Hartford, both Superstars were evenly matched and Ryback actually controlled a good part of the match.

- Plans could change but as of this weekend, the only match scheduled to take place inside the Cell at WWE's Hell In a Cell pay-per-view is Ryback vs. CM Punk for the WWE Title.

- SmackDown General Manager Booker T acted as the honorary team captain for the NFL's Houston Texans as they defeated the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday. Booker received a big pop when he was introduced to the crowd. Here's a photo of he and Sharmell at the game:

Ryback Slams Paul Heyman, Michael McGillicutty Wins A Squash Match, Jack Swagger's Look

- Ryback vs. CM Punk at last night's RAW live event in Hartford, Connecticut had been advertised to be a Last Man Standing Match but was not. Ryback ended up winning via DQ when Paul Heyman ran in to break up a pin. After the bell, Ryback could barely get Heyman up for his Shellshocked finisher so he just slammed him instead. Punk then made the save but Ryback laid him out to end the show.

- Another match of note at last night's live event in Hartford saw Michael McGillicutty beat David Otunga in about 20 seconds. McGillicutty cut a babyface promo before the match. We reported a few weeks back that Triple H was very high on McGillicutty and it appears his new push may be beginning soon.

- As noted on Saturday, Jack Swagger was back on the road working weekend live events, losing to Brodus Clay. Swagger is said to be sporting a longer, slicked-back hair style, different than the style he was wearing before he left WWE TV several weeks back.

Steve Austin Says Sheamus Isn't Ready To Be Champion, John Cena's European Tour Status

- "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, who writes a column for Fighting Spirit Magazine, offered his opinion on reigning World Heavyweight Champion Sheamus during a recent issue while discussing WWE's World Titles and how their importance level has never been lower. Though Austin considers the Irish grappler talented, he doesn't feel Sheamus is ready to be champion.

Austin wrote, "Sheamus is a big talented dude, no doubt about it. Can he get to where the company wants him to go? That remains to be seen, and there's a lot of work required from both him and the company in order to jump to that superstar level. He's doing fine for the amount of time he's been in the business, and there is no disrespect intended, but there are so many aspects that go towards making a guy draw money with the title."

Austin also remarked that the WWE Championship and World Heavyweight Championships should be unified as soon as possible. An article on Austin's comments is available here.

- John Cena, who is currently nursing an arm injury after undergoing surgery to remove bone chips from his elbow on Sept. 18, tweeted Thursday on whether he will take part in WWE's tour of Europe kicking off Oct. 31 in Strasbourg, France.

"And to all the @wwe folk wondering if I am traveling with #raw to Europe, I most certainly AM. See u there!" he wrote.

Chris Jericho Unsure Of Another WWE Run, Rock Returns Home, Warrior's Last Appearance?

- The Rock returned to the U.S. today after spending the last couple of months in London filming for Fast 6.

- The Daily Star has an interview with Chris Jericho, who was promoting Fozzy's return to the UK next month. During the interview, Jericho discussed his relationship with WWE and if another run was in the cards.

"I don't know if it's bullsh*t but there is very much that attitude in WWE â€" sometimes 'if you're not with us you're against us'. It's been there so long I find it kinda weird. As you and I know, WWE lives in its own world and you can see that for any outside ventures that they do.

"I'm always cool with them and always open to going back, but it's difficult â€" I would have liked to have done more, maybe, but they want your time exclusively and the longer I've been there, the less time I have. Hopefully we'll work together in the future. If we don't, well, I can walk away knowing I had an amazing run and achieved everything I wanted to achieve in wrestling."

Jericho also discussed CM Punk's recent heel turn, you can check out the article here.

- The Ultimate Warrior will be appearing at the "Nuke The Fridge Con" at Frank & Son's Collectibles in California on November 10th at 1pm. Warrior hinted in a recent video that it might be his final appearance for "quite some time." You can purchase tickets at btwrestling.com and check out Warrior's video promoting the event below:

WWE Considering Popular Reality TV Star For WrestleMania 29, Talking With Another Celebrity

Source: PWInsider

We noted back in the summer that WWE officials were hoping to use Charlie Sheen at WrestleMania 29 after talks to use him at SummerSlam this year fell apart.

Sheen's name has been discussed in the last week for some kind of WrestleMania role, most likely not a physical role. There have been ongoing discussions with Sheen's people. It's possible we will see him on WWE TV in the next few months.

Another name that has been talked about within WWE is 7 year old reality TV star Alana Thompson, known as the Honey Boo Boo child. The "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo" reality show on TLC is one of the most-viewed programs on TV and it looks like WWE is trying to capitalize off that popularity.

Update On Future Plans For WWE Studios - Movies For CM Punk And Eve Torres?

Source: PWInsider

WWE Studios officials have recently been working on planning out their film projects for the next two years.

They really want to do a movie with WWE Champion CM Punk but company officials do not want to take him off the road and have him miss RAW live events. Punk would still be able to appear on RAW, like Randy Orton has appeared on SmackDown while filming 12 Rounds: Reloaded, but officials need him to sell tickets to live events.

There has also been talk of doing a 4th movie in the Marine series but this one would star a WWE Diva, most likely Eve Torres. This is why Eve has mentioned the possibility of doing a WWE movie in recent media interviews.

Backstage Update On The Undertaker's Return, WWE Not Buying UWF Library?, Sammartino Movie Talk

Source: PWInsider

- WWE still has not bought the UWF tape library from the family of Bill Watts. Word is that every time WWE passed them a new contract, there was something in there that the Watts family didn't like so they backed off. There's a feeling that the deal may not happen at all now.

- There are rumblings that WWE may be interested in helping to distribute the movie on the life of Bruno Sammartino that has been in the works in Hollywood for a few years now. The hope would be that this would lead to Sammartino allowing WWE to induct him into the Hall of Fame next year but people close to Bruno insist that he will not go into the WWE Hall of Fame.

- Regarding The Undertaker wrestling at WrestleMania 29, it's said that the decision is all up to him at this point. There is talk of using him just in the Royal Rumble main event if he doesn't want to come back for a full WrestleMania storyline and match.

Steve Austin Talks The Attitude Era, Current Product, Jim Ross, C.M. Punk & More

WWE Games' YouTube channel released an interview with "Stone Cold" Steve Austin that centered around THQ's Attitude Era WWE '13 video game. During the interview, Austin discussed; what it was like during the Attitude Era, comparing the Attitude Era to today's current product, what set the Attitude Era apart, Jim Ross and C.M. Punk. Here are some of the highlights:

On what separated WWE from WCW and ECW back in their hay days: "Man, it was a great ride back in the day. Obviously, I started out in WCW and I was a good mechanic back in the day. Got fired from that gig, made a turn for ECW. Hooked up with Paul Heyman, got a chance to kind of channel the pissed off energy that I possessed at that time. Got a chance to vent. Finally, it was time to ride off into the sunset and join WWF at the time, which is WWE, and -- man, it was a pure free-for-all. It was a competition. Everybody was out to be number one.

"All of a sudden, it turned into the Monday Night Wars with WCW and WWE and [WCW] stomped our ass for two years. Then, due to some good booking, great characters and great story lines, we started kicking their ass and never looked back. It was a great time to be in the business, it was a great time to watch the business."

On what set the Attitude Era apart: "A lot of people say, 'What set the Attitude Era up or what started the Attitude Era.' To me -- and I was allegedly the leader of it -- sports entertainment, pro wrestling, whatever you want to call it has always had an attitude. So, why that particular generation got labeled, I don't know.

"Nonetheless, speaking for myself, I just channeled what I felt, gave what I felt. Finally, I unleashed the personality of me in a competitive environment which is a killer instinct to dominate and win everything I can and unleash that in a 20 x 20 ring. Good booking, great announcing with my buddy Jim Ross coloring and embellishing all the stories I partook in. It just turned into what it turned into -- it turned into a damn monster."

On what Jim Ross brings to an announce team: "Unbridled passion, knowledge and a great story teller. He tells it like it is. When you've got someone who can verbalize what's going on in the ring like he can, it makes the match all that much better. So, he was an important part of my career, he's had an outstanding career starting from everywhere he started all the way to where he ended up, that's why he's in the Hall of Fame. In my opinion, he was the best ever. But, when you bring passion, knowledge and the ability to tell stories and make people feel what's going on in that ring, you've got a winner."

On what the crowd reaction does to a performer and the match: "When that glass broke and 'Stone Cold' was making an entrance and that roof blew off that building, that sends you higher than life or anything that I know of. It's an adrenaline rush you can't explain. Now, when you get in that ring and you start working, start telling that story, you're using that crowd to make your decisions. Based on what you do, it illicits a response. According to that response and what that crowd gives you, you proceed accordingly.

"You feel off that, man. You're in there, you're having a match and you're feeding off that crowd. That's the gasoline that fuels the match and that's how you make your decisions. If you're not listening to that crowd when you're working, you're missing the biggest part of what working is all about. Coming out to the ring, it's an adrenaline rush. In the ring, it helps you make your decisions. The more that crowd gives you, the more you can give them. It's a win-win situation for them watching and for us being in the ring working."
