TNA Star Throws Slavery Charge At UFC President, Dana White Fires Back

UFC President Dana White and Tito Ortiz have always had a rocky relationship. The two almost took their rivalry to the ring for a three-round boxing fight in a special taped for Spike TV (which you can watch above), however Ortiz backed out at the last minute and told White that he was letting him "off the hook." Ortiz would go on to leave the UFC after fulfilling his contract in 2008, only to return a year later in 2009.

While they weren't exactly best friends after Ortiz's latest UFC run, things have gotten downright ugly since Ortiz signed with Bellator MMA and TNA. Ortiz, who was inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame last year, has spent much of his time since joining Bellator ripping White for being a bully and mistreating his fighters. He took it a step further in an interview with Sports Illustrated this past Wednesday, comparing his time working for White to "slavery."

"Um, I thought slavery was over a long time ago," Ortiz replied, when asked what it was like to work for White. "It's one of those things where you can't trust a word the man says. And when you can't do that, how can you work for him."

White fired back at Ortiz's comment several times this week, including on Jim Rome's radio show.

"The guy's a moron," White told Rome. "To say he was a slave, does he even know what the word slave means? He's one of the stupidest human beings you will ever meet... Now, he's just showing what a two-faced lying sack he is."

Ortiz apologized for the slavery remark on his Twitter, noting that he gets emotional when he's asked about White, and admitting that his remark was "uncalled for." Since then, Ortiz and White have taken their war of words to Twitter. Ortiz implied that White used PEDs, and posted a photo of White during his days as an aerobics instructor.

"that's me when I was young and skinny and would punch ur head in while sparring cause u were a 'champ' that didn't like getn hit," Dana replied. "I remember punching ur head in and watchin u roll around crying cause Chuck (Liddell) hit us to the body and u quitting like the puss u are. U were winning titles and gettin punched silly by a box aerobic instructor"

Ortiz then wrote that White "got famous by us fighters blood and sweat. Got rich by someone else's money. I did it by fighting and winning titles.#truth I rather die on my feet then live on my knees! Enough said."

When a user noted that Ortiz got rich because of White and the Fertittas, Ortiz replied, "I got it all from the Ferittas. Not dana"

- We open from Las Vegas with MizTV in the ring. He welcomes Big Show and Dolph Ziggler to the ring. Miz talks about standing on the stage with them on RAW with 40 other Superstars as Bryan got beaten up. He sends to the video. Miz says it is time we heard their opinions on how management is running things. Big Show says standing there was one of the toughest things he has had to do in his career. He can't continue and is shaken up and sends to Ziggler. Ziggler can't put the words together and tells Show to finish his thought.

Triple H interrupts with a smile on his face on the way down the ramp. Cole says this is no longer a democracy (no longer, Cole?) it is a dictatorship. Hunter asks Miz why he is in his gear and not a suit. Miz says you never know when a fight is going to break out. This gets a pop. Miz asks if he can ask Hunter a question and Hunter says no. The crowd chants that he sold out. Triple H says this is all just business. He says Randy Orton is the future of the WWE. Hunter jabs Miz with once being the champion and never getting near it since. He puts Miz in a match with Orton. Hunter tells Ziggler he will give him the opportunity to get back at the Shield and put him in another handicap match.

Triple H then calls over the Big Show like a child and Show is fuming, almost crying from anger. Hunter says he is giving Show the night off and he wants Show to be on commentary and just sit there and watch what happens tonight and not do a thing. Show is shaking as Hunter dismisses him to commentary. Show takes a seat in a nice office chair next to the booth; he is not actually on commentary. Hunter dismisses Ziggler to the back and introduces the WWE Champion Randy Orton.

Randy Orton vs. The Miz

Back from a commercial as the bell rings and Big Show looks on. Randy rams Miz' head into the turnbuckles and sends him into the corner. Miz reverses and hits a clothesline. Orton lands a dropkick and gets 2. Orton throws Miz to the outside and suplexes him on the security wall. Orton sends him back in and covers him for 2. Cole and JBL argue about Triple H and Daniel Bryan the whole time. Miz starts unloading with strikes in the corner and hits his running clothesline. Miz launches Orton over the top and The Shield's music hits as Cole's voice sells the commercial break.

The Shield has taken their place, guarding the entrance like Monday. The crowd chants for Big Show as Orton takes Miz apart on the canvas. Orton drops a knee, that Cole says was a forearm, and gets a near fall. Miz flips out of a suplex attempt and starts to comeback. Miz hits a neckbreaker for 2. Orton counters Miz and hits the ropes-DDT. Orton coils up but Miz counters the RKO with a backslide and gets 2. Miz applies the figure-4 as Show cheers him on. Orton gets to the ropes. Orton drops Miz' neck across the top rope and hits the RKO for the win.

WrestleMania Location Finalized, Ted Dibiase Sr. Comments On Son Leaving WWE, Total Divas

- Dave Meltzer noted on F4WOnline.com that the location for the 2016 WrestleMania was finalized today, while the location for the 2015 event should be decided in the next few days. The location was not revealed, and WWE apparently told the winning city to keep it quiet.

- E! Online posted a video of The Bella Twins answering fan questions at this link.

- The Las Vegas Informer has an article here about Naomi and Jimmy Uso going to Ghostbar at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas this past Wednesday night.

- WWE Hall of Famer Ted Dibiase Sr. commented on his son, Ted Dibiase, deciding not to re-sign with WWE. He wrote on his website, "As many of you know, my son, Ted Jr. has decided not to re-sign with the WWE. His decision is not based on dissatisfaction with the WWE, but a decision based on not wanting to spend so much of his life away from his family. I applaud that decision. As much as I loved the wrestling business, being away from my family and the temptations that come along with it, nearly destroyed me and my family. I never wanted my sons to be in the business for that very reason. But I knew that I had to let them find out for themselves. The birth of Ted's first son, did just that. Yes, I still love wrestling and so does Ted Jr. But, 'Everything has a price!' My son learned more quickly than I did, that the price of fame is often far greater than the rewards!!"

Dibiase Sr. made similar remarks during our recent interview, which was conducted before his son's decision to not renew his WWE contract.

"I'm not really sure where my son is too right now, in terms of, he had an injury and while he was injured he was off during the last couple months of his wife's pregnancy and during the first couple month's of his son's life," Dibiase said. "I remember when he was getting ready to go back on the road he called me and he said, 'dad, he said I just want you to know, I get it now. Now I know why you didn't want me to do this.' He said it's really hard to leave this little boy. I said, 'well, I tried to tell ya, but some things you just have to learn that way.'"

WWE Live Event Results From Las Cruces (8/24): CM Punk Pays Tribute To Eddie Guerrero

Thanks to WrestlingINC.com reader Adrian Telas for sending in these results from last night's WWE live event in Las Cruces, NM:

The show was not a complete a sell out as there were many seats available for the show. I believe that its time WWE Raw or Smackdown do a live TV show for El Paso or Las Cruces as people are tired of live events.

* Prime Time Players defeated 3MB. PTP came out to a nice pop and played the role of baby faces. Great match to get things started

* The Great Khali defeated Hunico in a squash match. Hunico got a nice pop as he is from down the road from El Paso Texas.

* Fans Choice: Natalya and Kaitlyn defeated WWE Divas Champ AJ and Layla. This match was first scheduled to be a dance off but AJ attacked Kaitlyn. The finisher saw Natalya give the sharp shooter to Layla and Kaitlyn spear AJ.

* Ryback defeated Kofi Kingston. This was a solid match between the two.

* Cody Rhodes defeated Damien Sandow. After the match, Cody did a cartwheel on the top of the stage

* Dolph Ziggler defeated Big E Langston. Funny spot came at the beginning as a fan had a poster that read "Big E needs to wear Pants." I flashed to Big E my 5 month old daughter pants which got the crowd and Dolph fired up but Big E very mad. Awesome moment for me!

* WWE World Heavyweight Champion Alberto Del Rio defeated Christian in a great match. Del Rio came out to a great ovation. He tried to play heel, but the crowd was way over him.

* CM Punk defeated Curtis Axel (w/ Paul Heyman). After this great match, CM Punk got on the mic (a great pipe bomb) and said a few words about Eddie Guerrero. Hey noted how every time he comes to this region of the US, he can't stop but think about how this is Eddie Guerrero Country. The crowd chanted "Eddie Eddie Eddie Eddie's to end the show.

Biggest Pops:
1. CM Punk
2. Alberto del Rio
3. Dolph Ziggler / Kofi Kingston

Biggest Heat:
1. Damien Sandow
2. Big E
3. 3MB

Overall this was a great show by far with solid matches. Come on WWE, its time we get a live televised show! I have always said El Paso Texas would be a perfect fit for SummerSlam in the Sun Bowl.

SmackDown Review: Daniel Bryan Proves Himself - Again

The latest episode of SmackDown focused on Daniel Bryan's quest to gain revenge for the recent villainous turn of both Triple H and Randy Orton, at Bryan's expense. Apparently, no one in authority is an advocate of Bryan, as he was scheduled to face Wade Barrett in a steel cage match, courtesy of SmackDown GM Vickie Guerrero.

Curtis Axel vs. Cody Rhodes was not a good idea. I understand that pushing Axel to make him a suitable opponent for CM Punk (especially since he challenged him to a match on Raw) is the purpose, but it should not be at the expense of Rhodes. Rhodes has the potential to be one of the top babyfaces in the WWE, and has the crowd behind him as he commissions himself to make Damien Sandow's Money in the Bank win regrettable. After defeating Sandow multiple times and gaining momentum, he simply loses to Axel with no back story. Bad booking.

Dolph Ziggler vs. Big E. Langston was hopefully the last match that we see involving those two together in a very long time. They both have been affiliated with each other since Langston's debut last December, and eight months laterâ€"although now adversariesâ€"are still linked together. Hopefully we see Ziggler further his feud with The Shield, and Langston... well, who knows?

Alberto Del Rio vs. Christian was a good match just like the rest of them, but a bit of an overkill. The match did not help Christian ascend in the rankings at all, and his saving grace was dropkicking ADR after the match, which may lead to a triple threat match at Night of Champions. Orâ€"on the other handâ€"it may simply make Christian wallow in the midcard. As far as RVD, putting him in the world title picture helps Del Rio, because more than likely RVD is going to put him over.

By the wayâ€"Bill Alfonso is quite disgusted right now.

Mark Henry/Big Show vs. 3MB was actually not a bad match. More surprisingly, Henry and Show looks like a formidable tag team, and work well off of each other. They have convinced me that a match between them and The Shield actually would not be so bad.

In fact, I would be fine if they won the tag titles, Harper and Rowan defeat the Usos in a No. 1 contenders match, which commences a feud between Henry/Show and the Wyatt family. This would put the titles on the forefront where they deserve.

Darren Young vs. Antonio Cesaro is hopefully a part of a string of single and tag team matches between the Prime Time Players and the Real Americans. PTP was in need of a face turn, because them as heels just was not cutting the mustard. Both teams help in the much-needed revival of the tag division.

Daniel Bryan vs. Wade Barrett was a good match. I also really like that Bryan has incorporated the Hagakure/Busaiku Knee Kick in his WWE Arsenal. Even with his string of losses, Barrett is still involved in the storyline in an indirect capacity, which is the best he can say he has been in quite a while. Randy Orton's RKO post-match made sense, seeing how the quest is for Bryan to overcome all odds. Given the proper time, this can be one of the best storylines in recent WWE history.

Ted Dibiase Sr. Talks Signing With WWF, Why His WWF Title Reign Was Nixed, Savage, Mid South

I recently spoke with WWE Hall of Famer "The Million Dollar Man" Ted Dibiase. In the first part of the interview below, Dibiase discussed his early career, signing with the WWF, his nixed World title reign, working with Randy Savage and much more.

Make sure to check back tomorrow for the second part of our interview, where Dibiase discussed working with Andre The Giant, why he left WWF, returning as a manager, why he signed with WCW and much more.

You can follow him on Twitter @MDMTedDiBiase, visit the website for his Ministry at HeartOfDavidMinistry.com, as well as his official site at MillionDollarMan.com.

WrestlingINC: I wanted to talk a little bit about your start in the business and your time in Mid South. What memories stick out from that area, being in the NWA Mid South in the late 70s ad early 80s?

Ted Dibiase: Mid South was just a huge part of my career. I started there in 1975 when I got out of college. I had a very good relationship with a guy named Dick Murdoch. Dick Murdoch had come out of West Texas, his father Frankie Hill Murdoch was a wrestler. I had known the Funks all my life, that's how far back it goes. When I got out of college, it was my junior year, I actually had a year left, and Murdoch suggested to me that I go to Mid South. He was going down there and he said I'll talk to Bill Watts, maybe come down here and get your feet wet and find out if you really want to do this. I thought that was a great idea, so I went to Mid South in June of 1975 and at the end of that summer, realistically I should have gone back to school. Everybody tried to tell me to go back. 'You only got a year left, finish school, finish school.' But I had done so well and I had saw the handwriting on the wall as far as I was concerned.

Now today, I kick myself in the rear end for not completing college. But as I look back from where I am today, I realize that I, without even knowing it, had been positioned in one of the greatest territories in wrestling. And one of the greatest minds in wrestling, Bill Watts. So I didn't go back to college and I ended up a full year there. I left near the end of 1976, made my first trip to Japan. I wrestled in and around Amarillo for a while. I actually went up to Kansas City and then back down to Amarillo. And then I went to New York for the first time in 1979. And when I left New York, I went back to Mid South. I really spent the better part of the first 12 years of my career wrestling for Mid South. Fond memories, but a grueling territory.

Mid South covered four states: Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi and then even reached over into Houston Texas. So, we put on a lot of miles down there.

WrestlingINC: You wrestled Danny Hodge in your very first match, right?

Dibiase: Yeah, the first television match that I'm going to have, I got put out there with Danny Hodge and I was scared to death. Here I am, a young guy, wet behind the ears. Of course Danny had a reputation. Everybody knew that he was an unbelievable amateur wrestler. He was famous for being able to put the squeeze on you like a pair of pliers and that was legitimate. That wasn't worked at all. He was just easy as can be. He took real good care of me.

Dolph Ziggler Talks Flair At WWE 2K14 Panel, If He Should Have Had A Better SS Match, Being Selfish

Source: Arda Ocal

Dolph Ziggler recently chatted with Arda Ocal. Here are some highlights from the interview.

His thoughts on Flair at the WWE 2K14 panel: "I thought it was amazing, and the thing is, sitting up there, didn't get to talk too much, and I'm sure Daniel Bryan was okay with that, but I kind of wanted to make some things about me, but it's okay that future me stole the show tonight and Ric Flair was Ric Flair and he will never not be Ric Flair. The fact that I could be on that panel with him, he gives me a hug because we're in the same brotherhood of wrestling and loving it, it's amazing to be up there. It was quite a show."

Why did Ziggler have a mixed tag match at SummerSlam, rather than a high profile singles match: "First of all, you wouldn't see me in that John Cena match because Daniel Bryan has that crowd behind him. He's had that microphone time. He's had that year build up, that last Wrestlemania with the crowd behind him and he's peaked to be in a prime position for that. I've done nothing since losing my title but not deliver, not have those 20 minute main event matches every week, twice a week, sometimes three times a week if you count Ion TV and Wednesday night's Main Event. [Ocal: Does it bug you?] Yes, so much. I not only planned on this part either still being World Heavyweight Champion at this point or being in the World Heavyweight Championship match with that entire crowd wanting not a good guy, not a bad guy, but wanting me to go out there and prove how good I am at this. And the fact that I can't do that this Sunday kills me. It keeps me awake at night. So many things keep me awake at night with not being champion, not being in that picture, but the fact is I've got to that point because of the hard work I put in, because of the chip on my shoulder, because I want to go out there and whether I have 30 seconds in a mixed tag match or Snooki's pinning me, I go out there to do it better than anybody else and dammit, as much as I can I will attempt to do what I do best on Sunday [SummerSlam] and steal the show."

Booker T once gave Ziggler advice to be more selfish. Has he become more selfish: "No, but it also… The situation I'm in right now, World Heavyweight Championship style, yes, I would be being more selfish right now. But in the situation that I'm in right now with four different people who are much younger and less experienced as me, they need me to be a leader out there and be less selfish in this situation. Now, the way I've been clawing up every inch that I got, building up to title picture and World Heavyweight Championship match, that's where that applies and right now, unfortunately, it does not apply. They need a leader. They need someone like an old school Flair, or a Shawn Michaels who could go out there, talk, be in control of everyone, be a ring general, take care of everyone and make sure it's the best possible match that we could possibly have."

You can check out the whole interview above.

He thanks John Cena for giving him the opportunity and wrestling him with an injured elbow. Bryan turns to Orton and says it is "time for that face to change." The crowd voices their approval. Bryan talks about how pretty Orton is. Orton "toughens up." Bryan says it makes him want to kick Orton in the face. Bryan says he had to wrestle in dirty high school gyms to get where he is. He says he is not tall or pretty but he can wrestle and beat Randy for the World Title. Bryan wants his rematch tonight. He starts to "Yes" with the crowd.

Randy calls him short-stuff and says he has to wait for Night of Champions. Orton walks up to Bryan and raises his title. As he goes to leave, he tries an RKO but Bryan blocks it and knocks Randy out of the ring with a dropkick. Randy sells getting back in but retreats up the ramp. Bryan leads the crowd in a "Yes" chant.

- Vickie is mad on her phone about the last segment. She wants somebody to "teach that little troll a lesson." Wade Barrett comes into the shot and proposes that he face Bryan so he doesn't make it to his rematch. Vickie makes a steel cage match between Bryan and Barrett for later tonight.

Curtis Axel vs. Cody Rhodes

Axel goes to work with strikes in the corner but Cody comes back and they trade holds in the center. Axel lands a dropkick. Cody springs off the top ropes for his own dropkick. Axel takes the advantage on the floor as he rams Cody into the apron.

Back from a break as Axel works Cody over in the ring. Axel misses with an elbow off the 2nd buckle. Cody misses with a Disaster Kick and they go back and forth. The crowd chants for CM Punk. Cody goes up top but Heyman gets on the steps and causes the distraction. Axel drops Cody face first on the canvas for the win.

Winner by pin: Curtis Axel

Heyman joins Axel in the ring with his arm in a sling. He says he is in agony at the actions of CM Punk. He says it isn't just physical, but emotional distress because his former friend has become a loser. He says Punk is lost without him. Heyman says with him, Axel has found himself and nobody can defeat him for the Intercontinental Championship. He hands Axel the mic who says Punk doesn't deserve it but he challenges him to a title match for RAW this Monday.

Retro Wednesday: Brock Lesnar Wins His First WWE Championship

It did not take much for him to be a main-event star. The WWE saw gold all over Brock Lesnar as soon as he set foot inside a ring. Due to his impressive NCAA wrestling resume, Lesnar almost immediately landed a position in the then-developmental territory, OVW, post-college in 2000.

Less than two years later, on the episode of Raw following WrestleMania 18, Lesnar made his debut by running roughshod over all the participants of the Hardcore matchâ€"Maven, Al Snow and Spike Dudley. Not only did he gain the attention of the crowd, but with Paul Heyman by his side, the entire WWE Universe.

It only took three months for him to be certified enough to become a major name for the company. In the final King of the Ring pay-per-view, Lesnar defeated Rob Van Dam to win the tournament and earn a shot at the Undisputed WWE Championship at SummerSlam and hopefully become one of the fastest rising stars in history.

However, The Rock had other plans.

After a brief hiatus following his memorable match with Hollywood Hogan at WrestleMania 18, Rock returned to win his seventh WWE title at Vengeance in a triple threat match including then-champion The Undertaker and Kurt Angle. He was destined to have a long run as champion, but he had to get past Lesnar to commence that goal.

So the stage is set. August, 25, 2002. Uniondale, NY. SummerSlam. The veteran, seven-time WWE Champion and fan-favorite Rock versus the fledglingâ€"but intensely impressiveâ€"25-year-old Brock Lesnar.

The match lived up to its expectations. Lesnar using power and speed, while Rock using speed and psychology. In a fight to the finish, Lesnar proved to be the better man that night, and became the youngest WWE Champion in company historyâ€"a record that still remains, and is only paralleled with Randy Orton being the youngest World Heavyweight Champion in company history at 24.

The anticipation for this match was through the roof. In a mere five months, Brock Lesnar cemented himself as being a main-event superstar and world champion.

11 years later, he is no longer the underdog. That title belongs to CM Punk. By the end of SummerSlam, we will see if the underdog reigns supreme again, or if the favorite snatches any hope from his opponent.

This should be a very interesting match. Sound off below.

More On Ric Flair Hijacking WWE 2K14 Event; Rips Daniel Bryan, Bret Hart, Foley's Physique, Marriage

The official WWE 2K YouTube channel actually uploaded last weekend's "30 Years of WrestleMania Symposium" in its entirety. This was the event where Ric Flair appeared especially giddy, and upset WWE officials to the point where they nixed a surprise appearance for him at SummerSlam. You can watch it in the video above.

Things were going pretty well until the 55:00 mark when Paul Heyman was asked about his dream WrestleMania matches. Heyman named Steve Austin vs. Brock Lesnar and CM Punk vs. Daniel Bryan. The other match he listed was Ric Flair vs. Hulk Hogan, which was when Flair took over the panel. Here are some of the more memorable moments from "The Nature Boy":

54:23: Ric Flair is critical of WWE for not booking Ric Flair vs. Hulk Hogan at WrestleMania VIII. He then ripped Hulk Hogan for having so many back surgeries.

58:30: Ric Flair says he would come out of retirement for WrestleMania 30 and said that he wants to wrestle John Cena. Flair talks about getting Cena his first beer, and says that Cena's afraid of him. Flair also said he'd love to wrestle Steve Austin.

1:00:10: When Mick Foley was asked about dream WrestleMania matches, Foley said he can't wrestle again but would have love to have wrestled Flair. Flair noted that they wrestled at SummerSlam and for TNA. JR noted that the comment would probably be cut, to which Flair replied, "I don't care." Flair and Foley went on to discuss their match in TNA.

1:01:30: Ric Flair noted that Undertaker was iffy about taking his chops, and ripped Bret Hart for not wanting to take his chops. At that point, Paul Heyman walked up to the podium and ripped Jim Ross' written questions.

1:02:28: JR asks Daniel Bryan about his WrestleMania dream opponent, and Bryan joked that he felt that he didn't belong up on the panel. Flair agreed, saying, "41 years of wrestling [Bruiser] Brody and Blackjack [Mulligan], you can imagine how I feel about you being up here. Good lord! What would have Harley [Race] said about him?!"

1:03:15: Flair tells a story about Curt Hennig telling Harley Race that he was going to use a top rope dropkick for the finish for one of their matches. Race replied, "I'll move." Flair used a child's voice when impersonating Hennig. Flair said that he could tell stories all day long and asked if there was another beverage available.

Flair spent a minute or so plugging being on Austin's podcast for three hours. Austin noted that he was looking for a couple of plugs, "but this is ridiculous." By the way, the Austin podcast with Flair will be up tomorrow (Thursday). I'm flying to L.A. in the evening and am praying that it's up before I head to the airport so I can listen to it on the flight.

1:05:25: JR joked about losing all control of the panel. Flair talked about getting loaded with JR and being there when Ross met his wife. Flair joked that JR's wife needed Lens Crafters. Flair then talked about getting loaded with JR, and asked how anyone could work for WCW and not drink.

1:08:30: Flair says he's ready to go, but looks like sh-t, but the game makes it look like he has muscles. Flair joked that Arn Anderson said that Foley looked like a "human jellyfish" and now they have muscles. JR wondered what the dirtsheets would say "about this sh-t" if it managed to air.

1:09:20: Flair asked what it would be like in New Orleans for WrestleMania 30, and said that he would be with Austin at a bar at noon. JR noted that he wasn't sure that "all of us were going to make it" to the event. Flair then went on a rant against his ex-wife and told people not to get married.

Triple H Shares His Thoughts On SummerSlam Opponents John Cena And Daniel Bryan

In a new interview with IGN, Triple H talked about John Cena:

"He is a polarizing character. The one thing about John is he is very true to he is. The guy that you see on WWE, the guy that you see in the ring, the guy you see on RAW every night is John Cena. He is true to who he is. He's not unapologetic about it. He just is. Some people hate that, some people love that. Some people hate success, and it's one thing in this industry that you have to be prepared for. Even if Daniel Bryan does pull it off on Sunday, then he is no longer the underdog. Some people will turn on him for that, because then he is exactly what he fought against. I think CM Punk's struggled with that. CM Punk fought the system, and all of the sudden he was the Champion. "Now, wait a minute. You're now what you said you didn't like, in a way." It's a challenge, and that is a difficult thing. John has been that position and that figurehead for a long time. Some people hate that, some people love that. He's always true to himself. But the fact of the matter is, he gets one of the loudest reactions every night from every aspect of the crowd, and that is across the board."

Triple H also commented on Daniel Bryan having the "IT" factor:

"I think Daniel has an "it" factor to him. Daniel's an extremely exciting competitor in the ring. He's very technically sound, but in addition to that he's also got a huge personality and a charisma to him and just a quality that you must see. You want to see him. He intrigues people, and I think that's what being a WWE Superstar is all about. Not to quote CM Punk's music, but it's that cult of personality, and he has it. He has it, John Cena has it, CM Punk has it, Brock Lesnar has it, the biggest stars of this industry always have it. Daniel has it, now how does he parlay that? How does he take that personality and that charisma and turn it into the biggest thing possible, which is being the WWE Champion? Is he that good, does he have that ability? And that's where it goes because, like Cena said, it's getting there, and then it's staying there. Getting there is a moment, staying there is a full-time process. Let's hope he can get it all done. I'm excited to see it, I'm anxious to see it. There are not a lot of times where you feel like you're on the edge of a momentum shift or on the edge of a "Wow, this could change everything" moment. That's where we're at on Sunday. We're at the edge of that cliff of "Wow, this could change everything." It's going to be interesting to see how that plays out."

Views From The Turnbuckle: Summerslam Review, Cena VS Bryan, Lesnar VS Punk, Orton As Champ

Trying to take in everything that we just saw is an impossible task. Some fans are excited, some are equally disappointed and others have no idea how to feel. The important thing is that no matter how you feel about Summerslam, you are probably very interested in the WWE, which is exactly what every show should be all about: to stimulate and create interest. Let's break it down.

Daniel Bryan vs John Cena was by far, the best match to take place in the WWE this year. Everything about the match was truly spectacular, from the crowd reaction, to the in-ring psychology, to the surprising finish. I think it is clear that we should all take off our anti-Cena shirts for a moment and give credit where credit is due. John Cena put out an amazing effort tonight, and although his moves may not have been all 100% crisp, he continued to show that he is more than capable of putting on a great wrestling match if he is given the opportunity. It should also never be understated that Cena went out as the WWE Champion to a huge ppv event, and lost to another man, clean and in the ring. At this stage in his career, Cena could totally have the entitlement to go out there and say that he is not going to lose to anybody cleanly. As much as us fans (myself included) love to try to paint Cena as the devil in jorts, it is simply not true, as evident by the humbling way he put over a younger, fresher face who really needed the victory.

As much as I was impressed by John Cena, the match really belonged to Daniel Bryan. I once watched Daniel Bryan wrestle at a high school gymnasium, in front of only a few hundred fans, and to see him not only win the WWE Championship, but to do so in such an overwhelming fashion, was truly a moment that I will cherish forever as a wrestling fan. I had given Los Angeles some flak in my last column about supplying Summerslam with consistently lackluster crowds, but that wasn't the case this year. Daniel Bryan had everybody in the arena eating out of the palm of his hand. The ability to control that massive amount of people, especially in this day and age of the hyper-intelligent wrestling fan, is a skill that comes along only once in a generation, and Daniel Bryan has that.

Somehow more important than the match itself, the post-match fallout is what really drove the fans over the edge. In a much hyped and debated maneuver, Triple H, the guest referee, turned on Daniel Bryan and laid him out with the pedigree. This allowed Randy Orton to cash in his Money in the Bank contract and win his 7th WWE Championship. It is fairly clear that Orton and Triple H are in cahoots, which makes the situation extremely interesting, considering the two veterans storied rivalry dating back almost a decade.

Randy Orton is a natural heel, and watching him play the hero role the last few years was like trying to fall asleep on a chair; it just wasn't comfortable to do. Now, Orton is a much better position, as a heel champion with a corporate backer. With Vince McMahon not making an appearance at Summerslam, it seems likely that a huge announcement of some kind will take place on Raw, explaining what exactly happened at Summerslam. I think it is too soon to judge the WWE's decision to have Bryan win and then lose the title on the same night, but for now, we can at least say that it was a move that got EVERYONE talking, and we should all be looking forward too what is now the hottest storyline in the WWE (well, except for Ryback vs catering, that is on fire).

Cena goes to the top as the fans boo him. Bryan cuts him off and climbs up. Cena shoves him off to the mat. Bryan runs back up and decks Cena but Cena shoves him right back to the mat. Bryan runs up and dropkicks Cena this time. Cena is still sitting on the top. Bryan climbs back up and hits a superplex. Bryan hangs on to the corner and starts powering up. He did that not to absorbe the impact of the superplex. Bryan stands up on the top and nails the big headbutt for a 2 count. Cena rolls out to the floor. Bryan runs the ropes for a suicide dive but Cena knocks him out of mid-air with a forearm shot. Cena climbs to the top and nails the big leg drop for another 2 count.

CM Punk Talks Working With Brock Lesnar, Randy Orton Fan Incident, Riley Cooper Racial Slur

Source: Rosenberg Radio

CM Punk recently sat down with Rosenberg Radio. Here are some highlights from the interview.

Is it somewhat intimidating to work with Brock Lesnar: "I'd probably be remiss if I said no, but I don't think Brock's dangerous or anything like that. He just brings a different persona and a different aspect to the game. I like that. I think I'm one of those guys that sometimes needs a little prodding and poking to get the best out of me. You do this so often and you're on the road so many days and you have so many matches. I think this one's going to end up being not just another match."

What does he think of the Randy Orton fan attack incident: "My first reaction is it bums me out, that anybody would want to do that. A lot of people might think I'm comparing two things that aren't really alike but honestly, the first thing that popped into mind is when Dimebag Darrell got shot on stage. What if that dude had a knife? What if that dude had a gun? We don't know and it sucks that anybody would want to do that. Security to me, isn't at fault because if somebody wants to do something that stupid, chances are if they're that methodical about it they're going to get it done. It sucks. It sucks that as performers that is still one of the things we have to worry about instead of just trying to entertain everybody."

How would he have handled the fan attack: "I don't know how I would have handled it. It's one of those things that you don't really know until you're put in that position."

What does he think of Riley Cooper's recent racial slur: "I would say that most of the teammates, and rightfully so, have probably lost a lot of respect for him. I for one, don't really respect anybody that listens to Kenny Chesney, first of all [laughter] Just kidding. Sorry, I had to try and lighten the mood because it is a serious topic. I don't even know if calling what he did bone headed even does it justice. I'll be honest I haven't seen the clip, I just know he dropped some N bombs. I do firmly believe that there's no such thing as bad words, there's just bad intentions, but that's just one of those words, actually, I'll be honest, if you're a white guy, you don't use.

"God, I could talk about this and it'd probably wind up getting me in trouble, because when I say you don't say that in public, it doesn't mean you run around your house and drop N bombs either. It's a super sensitive issue and to me, it's like abortion. I don't think believe that a bunch of 50 year old white haired men need to be making decisions on what a woman can and cannot do with her body. I'm a white guy. N bombs and a lot of racial stuff, I can't really relate to. To me it's just one of those topics I can't weigh in on it because somebody can tell me I don't know and they're right, I don't know."

Then, he hits Young with the Zig Zag and Kofi hits him with Trouble in Paradise for the win.

Former WWE Referee Talks Botched Spot On RAW, His Own Botches, More

Source: http://www.wildtalkradio.com

Former WWF/E referee and new author Jimmy Korderas joined Kayfabe Wrestling Radio Tuesday Night. In a nearly 30 minute interview, he discussed his recent media tour promoting his book, being noticed by fans as a referee, the confusing finish of the AJ/Natalya match from RAW and referee Mark Harris' Facebook response, one of the biggest mistakes he made as a referee, who had assigned officials to matches back in the day and much more. Here are some highlights:

On Mark Harris' response on Facebook to the RAW finish: "Yes, I did watch the match up and I did make a comment on Twitter about it last night; it was more tongue in cheek as I, in my Twitter comments, try to make them light and whatnot. I really don't have a doubt in my mind that the one part in there (Harris' Fabebook response) where he referred to the 'former, unemployed ref' was directed, I think, towards myself but I could be wrong, unless another former ref commented that I didn't see. If he was directing it towards me, contrary to popular opinion, I am employed; I do have a job actually, it's just not refereeing in the WWE. You know what, the social media thing, I think, has gotten out of hand and people are using it for the wrong purposes; in this situation, regardless of whose fault it was, or who the blame was put on for what was obviously a messed up finish to that match, sometimes you just gotta suck it up and say 'Hey, chalk it up to experience' and learn and move on.

"One of the biggest things you have to do in this business, especially from a referee standpoint, is be able to take criticism and know not everyone is going to like you. it's just the way it is. And if you can't take constructive criticism or a little playful ribbing or anything like that and you have to lash out on social media, maybe this business isn't for you."

If he ever had a memorable botched spot as an official: "Which time? I mean, we're all human; we all make mistakes. It's unavoidable, especially when you are working I don't know how many hundreds of matches a year, there's going to be a mess up here and there; it's just inevitable. WHat you have to do, like I said, is learn from your mistakes, suck it up and move on. That being said, I remember many years ago there was a match between Lex Luger and Crush (Brian Adams). The spot was I was taking a bump, I was supposed to be taking a bump in that match and it was basically very simple: Brian had Luger in a headlock, Luger shoots him off and Brian runs me over, essentially there's the ref bump. I just had a brain cramp for some reason and I decided just as Luger pushed Brian off, I stepped out of the way, kind of like a matador would with a bull. They both stopped and went like 'What the hell just happened here?' And I'm thinking to myself 'Ooh, i supposed to be standing there taking a bump.' And when I got to the back, I heard it; I got an earful but you work. Going forward I said to myself I'm going to make sure I keep my head above me and if it ever happens again you've got to think on your feet and not look like a deer in the headlights, which is basically what happened last night."

The botched finish of RAW with Natalya and AJ Lee: "Going back to last night's situation, it wasn't that the mix-up happened, it was the reaction that occurred from it. If he was decisive in his call, regardless of what he called, that would be fine. But he looked confused and that's what amplified the situation. I know Natalya let go of the Sharpshooter too early or AJ tapped a little late; I don't know what you want to call it, but t the same time when Mark motioned for the bell, for some reason the bell didn't ring obviously. I can't speak as to why it didn't ring but everybody looked really confused and there could have been an easy way out of it by either emphatically calling for the bell or motioning 'No, this match continues', but there was no motioning or reaction whatsoever so that led to more confusion; plus it doesn't help when you've got two guys on commentary who you know are going to rip into you."

Views From The Turnbuckle: Summerslam Preview, Predictions, Opinions And More

The views expressed in this column do not necessarily reflect those of WrestlingINC.com or its staff.

Summerslam has always been recognized by the WWE as their second biggest ppv, second only to Wrestlemania when it comes to importance. But to be honest, during the last few years, Summerslam hasn't really seemed all that special. If anything, the previous ppv, Money in the Bank, overshadowed Summerslam in both quality and importance. However, this year, for the first time in a while, Summerslam seems to really be the "biggest party of the summer."

The largest reason for the momentum being pushed back into Summerslam after it has been drained out like helium from a balloon, is the WWE Title match between Daniel Bryan and John Cena. As it has been stated earlier, the unpredictability of this match is uncanny, and it features the most over guy in the company going up against the face of the company for the last decade or so.

The WWE threw in two more curveballs this week, announcing on Raw that Triple H will be the special guest referee. In storyline, HHH has shown so far that he is more interested in fairness than anything else; making himself the referee to make sure that no funny business goes down with his father-in-law. But, with the idea of a HHH/McMahon power struggle looming as the big draw for Wrestlemania XXX, there is really no telling what could happen. A big move would be to have Triple H turn on Daniel Bryan, hit him with the pedigree and then have Cena cover him for the win. Again though, anything can happen so it is impossible to pin point exactly what is going to take place on Sunday.

Another big reveal is just how bad John Cena is hurt. According to multiple reports, Cena's elbow has been swollen up to the size of a softball and will need surgery immediately following Summerslam. Because it looks like Cena is going to need some time off, it is likely that he would have to drop the title at Summerslam, either to Randy Orton or to Daniel Bryan. Of course, we are relying on backstage reports and rumors to fill us in on Cena's injury. For all we know, the WWE could be making this whole thing up and put it out there to add another facet of unpredictability.

Moving beyond the WWE Title match is the highly anticipated Brock Lesnar vs CM Punk match. Punk has made a big face turn over the last few months, and to capitalize on his momentum, a victory over Brock Lesnar would be a smart move. On the flip side, Brock Lesnar is always being booked as an unstoppable beast, despite a lackluster 2-2 record since his return. Both men need a win badly, and the match should be really good. Brock, for all the knocks on his passion for pro wrestling, has a truly great understanding of in-ring psychology and is not just a rhino in the ring, he can really work. Punk obviously, is no slouch himself in that department, so this one should be fantastic.

In the less-anticipated world title matchup, Alberto Del Rio will be taking on Christian for Del Rio's World Heavyweight Championship. The buildup for this one has been mediocre at best, with most of the TV time going to other, more prominent feuds. With that being said, Christian has looked better in the ring as of late, after a pretty bad start coming off of a long absence, and even at this point in his career he still has a large fan base who support him. Del Rio, for all of his faults, has developed into one of the most reliable workers in the WWE, and between the two, a surprise match-of-the-night could very well take place. Alberto Del Rio's title reign has been pretty bad, but I'm not sure if someone like Christian, who is nearing retirement and nursing a million injuries, is the right guy to take the title off of Del Rio. I think Alberto Del Rio holds on, but there is the possibility of a Ricardo Rodriguez return which could pull things in Christian's favor. The fans love Ricardo, and after ADR beat him down several weeks ago, it is possible that Ricardo could come back and screw ADR, which would make the fans very happy.

- We go to a new video package with CM Punk and Paul Heyman. I haven't seen it yet, but the footage is likely from the CM Punk DVD. The video continues with the recent events and how the last few weeks have panned out with Brock Lesnar. This is likely the package they will show before the match on Sunday. WWE is so good at these.

The Usos vs. Heath Slater & Drew McIntyre

Slater starts off with Jimmy and they feel each other out. Slater gets Jimmy over in the corner and tags Drew in. Drew takes control of Jimmy as Jinder Mahal cheers him on from the apron. Back from a commercial with Drew in the ring with Jimmy. The Usos do some nice double teaming and keep Drew isolated. Drew takes care of a distraction and kicks Uso in the face and off the apron. Slater throws Uso around at ringside behind the ref's back. Slater tags in and gets 2 on Jimmy in the ring. Slater and Drew makes quick tags and keep control of Jimmy.

Jey makes the hot tag in and speeds things up with a flurry; he hits the running Stinkface to Slater in the corner but Drew breaks the cover. Jimmy tags himself in and hits a superkick to Slater. Jey dives onto Jinder and Drew at ringside and Jimmy hits the splash off the top on Slater for the win.

Winners by pin: The Usos

- Miz sends to the footage from MizTV of Cena and Bryan.

- Big E Langston makes his entrance with AJ Lee. We return from a break as Justin Gabriel (Mr. Main Event) has made his entrance.

Big E Langston vs. Justin Gabriel

Big E starts off trying to overpowering Gabriel but he gets away and starts to hit dropkicks and such but Langston shuts him down and catches him in the air and drops him. Big E hits a standing splash for 2. Big E puts on an abdominal stretch and clubs him down to the mat. Gabriel fights back but Langston hits a bell-to-belly for 2.

Big E continues with slow domination. Big E hits 3 backbreakes across his knee as AJ smiles like a madwoman at ringside. Gabriel avoids another splash and rolls up Langston for 1. Gabriel unloads with kicks and takes Langston off his feet. Gabriel springs off the ropes but Langston catches him. Gabriel wiggles out and hits a neckbreaker. Gabriel springs off with a moonsault but only gets 2. AJ looks concerned. Big E fights up and powers Gabriel to the mat. Big E runs over Gabriel and pulls down the straps. He hits the Big Ending for the win.

Winner by pin: Big E Langston

AJ joins Big E in the ring to celebrate as we see a replay. Big E stands over Gabriel as we go off the air.

SmackDown Review: Damien Sandow Commences The False MITB Cash-Ins

This episode of SmackDown featured further development of feuds heading to the SummerSlam pay-per-view scheduled for next week. Namely, the programs of Ziggler/AJ Lee, Kane/Bray Wyatt, Christian/Alberto Del Rio and Damien Sandow/Cody Rhodes.

Randy Orton vs. RVD was a fantastic match. I am thoroughly impressed with the work of RVD so far. The three years that he was in TNA does not even compare with what we've seen so far since MITB. Yes, he had good matches with Jeff Hardy, Kurt Angle, Desmond Wolfe and AJ Styles, but most could tell that his passion was withering away by the week. I suppose the bigger question is why they did not save this match for SummerSlam, by hopefully the WWE has bigger plans at the PPV for at least Orton.

Fandango vs. Kofi Kingston just proves to me that Kofi Kingstonâ€"despite his seven midcard championship and three tag team title reignsâ€"is desperately seeking to even have his head above water in the WWE, and they have no desire to push him any further than that. Although he returned from injury, debuted a "new look," and defeated Fandango on Raw, it looks like it is business as usual for Kingston. Only this time, his has long pants and highlighted locks.

Daniel Bryan vs. Wade Barrett was simply used to be a continuation of Monday's segment on Raw. Wade Barrett, similar to Kofi Kingston, is also on the boat of stars the WWE has little interest to push. At least he has a revolving door of cool theme songs, though, which says more than the same song we've heard for Kingston over the years.

Kane vs. 3MB was just a way to make Kane look stronger heading to his match with Bray Wyatt. Since Kane has been such a lesser-intimating character over the past year and a half, it is going to take much more than having him beat 3MB. In fact, 3MB actually gained a bit of leverage on him for a short period of time. This was not a good decision, as Kane should have totally squashed the trio, leaving them motionless. Bray Wyatt's promoâ€"while goodâ€"did not help Kane either. At least they could show that Wyatt is a little intimidated by Kane. This will make his win at SummerSlam look better.

Brock Lesnar's pre-taped interview was actually well put together. He had a nonchalant scowl throughout the interview to increase his intimation to CM Punk, and the footage shown to narrate his intentions was good. Much better than his live "Paul, say something stupid" blooper.

Christian vs Alberto Del Rio was a great match, but I would venture to say that I am not the only one that wondered why they would have a full match a week before the PPV with Christian getting a clean win. Maybe ADR goes on a losing streak and Christian wins again next week? Doubtful, but Christian would be a much better champion than ADR at this time.

We saw the first fake cash-in for the World Heavyweight Championship by Damien Sandow after Christian executed the Killswitch on ADR. Of course we know that he was not going to officially cash it in, because 1) it would have been all over the WWE.com site and 2) it would have changed the make-up of the current card, but at least it was a fun tease. Cody Rhodes ruining his chances was a good idea as well. Even if Rhodes loses at SummerSlam, the feud can be prolonged by him continuing to block Sandow from cashing the case in.

Sound off with your thoughts on SmackDown below.
