New WWE Title Design Update, More Kelly Kelly Hotness

- During yesterday's Comic-Con panel, WWE Champion CM Punk was asked when the new design for the WWE Championship would be unveiled. Punk said that he had no idea, but that "they're working on it."

Punk was then asked if he had any input in the new belt, to which he replied, "I'd like to say that I have a little bit of say in that, but I just keep getting the runaround. I don't know if they're saving the new design for somebody else or what the deal is. But they're sick of me asking about it, I know that."

Former ROH Owner Cary Silkin Discusses ROH's Recent IPPV Problems, Selling ROH & More

Source: Monday Night Mayhem

Ring Of Honor Ambassador and former ROH owner, Cary Silkin, was one the featured guests on this week's edition of Monday Night Mayhem. Here are highlights from the interview courtesy of Kahlil Thomas, MNM's associate producer and official correspondent:

The transition from being the owner of Ring of Honor to the company's official ambassador and why, in hindsight, it was better for him to sell ROH to Sinclair Broadcasting: "There is an old expression, you can't save your face and your ass at the same time. It was better for me to sell it (ROH) than not to sell it. With Sinclair, it was a long process just to get that point, and there has been growing pains as we know with the Sinclair company. Everything has to be worked out. For me personally, I'm happy to still be involved. I love Ring of Honor. I love pro wrestling. I like knowing that I worked for something, and I established and helped with something. I know when they write the book about pro wrestling, I know Ring of Honor will have a nice chapter in there."

An update on the various technical issues that Ring of Honor has experienced during several of their recent iPPV's, what is being done to correct them, and a personal message to the ROH fans: "I'm not going to make excuses for the problems that have happened. Nobody wants to have that, certainly not Ring of Honor, and certainly not the fans. It's been a combination of a couple of bad breaks and a couple of mistakes. Everybody has been given restitution, but we don't want it be that way. We want people to see the show. This upcoming one (Glory By Honor XI) is in a few weeks. We're going into it to get everything right. We had some bad luck, and we had two that ran perfectly. This is the last thing we want, and we are going to keep doing it until we get it right. That's the way it should be. I apologize to anyone who was inconvenienced."

Why he believes the mantra of the Ring of Honor locker room has never changed, plus which two matches he thinks will specifically stand out at ROH's forthcoming iPPV, "Glory By Honor XI": "We want to give the people the best wrestling show they have ever seen on any given night, and that's the attitude. Nobody that has ever worked for Ring of Honor ever just tries to get through the day and go home. With the card in Toronto, there's so many good matches, and as a whole, with the energy on this card, it looks like it's going to be really special. Look at Davey Richards vs. Jay Lethal. That match alone, that's the match I'm looking forward to the most, as well has the new Tag Team Champions: Steve Corino and Jimmy Jacobs. Corino is like a cat with nine lives, and Jacobs, a long-time ROH star, is born anew. They've got the belts, and they are going to go against The Briscoes, who certainly want them back. That's going to be a war."

C.M. Punk Talks John Cena, Colt Cabana, Planning For The Future, Sara Del Rey & More

Yesterday, C.M. Punk took part in a Q&A at the Wizard World Ohio Comic Con, answering a number of questions from fans. Topics ranged from; planning for the future, staying in shape, John Cena, Colt Cabana, Sara Del Rey and so much more. Here are some of the highlights:

On how far in advance wrestlers knew what they were going into storyline-wise: "Trust me when I tell you that [the writers] have no idea what they're doing. I'm sure somebody will rev that up and it'll be on the internet and somebody will be like, 'You know, you shouldn't have said that.'"

On how he stays motivated and in shape while being on the road: "Twitter. I enjoy 12-year-olds and people grossly out of shape telling me that I don't have muscles or that I'm fat. I enjoy working out, I actually enjoy doing it. So, that's my motivation. So, I like to do wacky things like run a marathon on six hour notice. I did that last year. I just try to challenge myself, I don't do it for anybody else."

On the wrestler he enjoys working with most and the wrestler he hates working with: "I don't think there's anybody left that I work with that I hate working with if that makes any sense. I think John Cena is going to wind up when my career is said and done being my best opponent. I'd like to think when his career is said and done that I might wind up being his best opponent, too. He's right up there with Rey Mysterio. I love wrestling those guys.

On how it felt beating John Cena in his hometown of Chicago for the WWE title: "At that exact moment, I was pretty tired. I was legit thinking -- because the title is like 35 pounds -- I have to sprint up a set of stairs and hold this above my head. I'm probably going to fall. That's what I was thinking. But, it was a great moment and a career highlight."

On the WWE's relationship with social media: "Social media with Twitter and Tout and all that stuff, to me, is a double-edged sword. A lot of times, I enjoy talking to fans when they ask me intelligent questions. Unfortunately, it doesn't happen super-often. For some reason, two parts of the world despise me and they are people from India and anybody in the United Arab Emirates. I get the most foul-mouthed, ridiculous tweets and I have no idea why. They tweet some pretty brutal stuff to me.

"But that's the thing, the fans can reach out to you and say whatever they want. I'm sure Patrick Stewart gets tweeted all kinds of stuff like, 'Kirk would kick your ass. You shouldn't be the captain of the Enterprise, you're boring. I won't watch Star Trek because of you.' I get the same stuff all the time. But I think that, overall, it's a positive thing."

On what his WWE fame has allowed him to do that he thought he'd never be able to do: "I don't know because I don't really think of myself as a celebrity. I think some of the best fan interactions I have are when I'm walking down the street and fans go, 'Hey, Punk,' and they wave and I go, 'Hey!' I think that's wild that that happens in my life. But, I don't know -- off the top of my head, I can't really think of anything. ... Yeah, stuff like [throwing the first pitch at the Cubs' game]. Perfect example. Being on the mount at Wrigley or singing a very off-key 'Take Me Out To The Ballgame.' Yeah, that's pretty wild that I've gotten a chance to do that."

On whether or not he's ever felt that the angle with Jericho involving his family went too far or if other storylines may have: "No, because I'd have to take you back to me singing 'Happy Birthday' to Aalyah Mysterio. That was pretty wild. I don't have kids, so I'm disconnected to that. But, I think that that was pretty messed up. A lot of people who have children were probably like, 'Man, that was too far.' But, you know, I thought it was pretty funny."

Doink The Clown Interview - Why He Doesn't Like Hulk Hogan; Details Character Background

Matt Borne, who portrayed the original Doink the Clown, appeared on Inside The Ropes on Thursday to discuss his time as the character. Highlights from the interview are as follows:

How he was offered the Doink gimmick when he came back to the WWF in 1992: "I worked as Matt Borne on TV. I did whatever they asked me to do. On the third night, Vince called me into his office and he asked me about my history in the wrestling business and from that conversation, he came up with the evil clown thing. It took me a back at first. He thought I could do it given my background but only if I wanted to do it. He told me to go home and think about it and I called him the next week and he flew me back and they had drawings and all kinds of s--t and they painted my face different ways. Two weeks later, I was on TV in the nosebleeds section being a clown."

How much of Stephen King's 'It' and Jack Nicholson's Joker influenced early Doink: "I've actually been told that I have a lot of mannerisms like Jack Nicholson so yeah I watched a lot of Jack and I watched 'It' and watched pretty much any evil clown stuff I could get my hands on and you know I ate, slept and drank evil clowns."

Who was his original opponent for WrestleMania 9: "I was supposed to wrestle Hogan at WrestleMania IX and Hogan refused. I don't know why, but I think it had something to do with a bad relationship between Hulk and my old partner Buzz Sawyer. Buzz and I, people thought we were brothers, we looked similar. Hogan, I don't know if he was afraid to work with me, so the second choice was Davey Boy Smith and he refused to work with him too. I don't know why because I always got along with him real well but a lot of people were wary of the clown character, so it ended up being me and Crush at WrestleMania IX."

Matt's theory on how Hulk Hogan got his black eye at WrestleMania IX: "Randy Savage gave it to him. I'd bet my left nut and my son's life on it. Hogan showed his true colours, thats why he got the black eye. Randy Savage was a man. Hulk Hogan has never been a man. Hulk Hogan's a big ass p---y. I don't care if you call and tell him I said that. His ex Elizabeth was seeing this small time producer, who happened to be a friend of Hogan. Elizabeth was hiding in the back room when Savage went to see Hogan and he found out about it. Friends don't do friend like that. Who can you say is Hulk Hogan's friend? The only people that can say their Hulk Hogan's friends are the people who are riding his coat tails and trying to make a living off of him like Brian Knobbs or some fat f--k like that. Hogan was supposed to be Savage's friend and he threw him under a bus and he got a black eye for it."

& #13; Why he doesn't like Hulk Hogan: "He was an arrogant f--k. I still think he is. I look at him and laugh because I know him for who he truly is. I don't like him. I really find it hard to even like him as a person. He's a phony inside and out. He showed that when he did that to Randy. When he said that him and Randy had made up, after Randy had died, well that's bulls--t. Randy hated Hogan."

Differences between workers from the 80s/90s to today: "I could take Curt Hennig, Randy Savage and Bret Hart, those three guys, they could come to the building, haven't seen me for three weeks and we'd just meet in the ring and we would tear it up. We wouldn't have to say a word to each other. We didn't have to talk to each other. That's the way great workers do it. You don't have to choreograph s--t. These guys today they're great athletes, but they're not great workers. there's a difference. Working is not going out there and doing a gymnastics thing. working is making the 200 or 20,000 people believe, it's feeding people and making them like what they're eating."

Borne also talks about working the first WrestleMania, his beef with "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan, the original explosive finish of the WrestleMania 9 match with Crush, Steve Keirn also portraying Doink, Paul Heyman, and more. The audio interview is available at www.facebook.com/theinsidenetwork.

WWE "Saturday Morning Slam" Recap: Santino Vs. Slater, Cena's Tips, Cody Rhodes, Lex Luger & More

Good Morning and welcome to another exciting edition of the WrestlingInc.com WWE Saturday Morning Slam Recap.

After the intro we go straight to Santino's entrance. The Miz is seated at commentary next to Josh Mathews. Heath Slater makes his entrance.

Santino vs. Heath Slater

Santino tries to attack early with a Cobra maneuver. Slater runs away. Slater pushes Santino but ducks out of the ring from the Cobra again. Slater plays air-guitar and Santino answers back with the trombone. Then they trade. Santino then plays air-flute, while Slater plays the drums. Santino starts to play air-piano, while Slater "pulls out" his air-harmonica. Santino goes from a violin to a cello and Slater just does a weird knee-dance. Slater charges out of the corner but Santino arm-drags him out of the ring. Slater goes and protests to the Miz as we go to commercial.

Miz does a PSA to not try this at home.

We're back and Santino misses with a dropkick in the ring. Slater drops a knee and applies a body scissors. Santino rolls on top for a 2. Slater sends Santino from corner to corner and charges in but we don't see the move. Slater gets 1. Santino favors his mid-section and complains that he can't breathe. Slater goes back to the body scissors. Santino tickles Slater under his arms to get free. That's a 25 year first for me. Slater plays his air-guitar and simultaneously slaps Santino in the back of the head and goes back to the body scissors. Santino breaks free and starts his Cobra routine. Slater ducks the Cobra several times but gets struck on his knee. Santino rolls him up from behind for the win.

Winner by pin: Santino

Santino celebrates in the ring as we go to commercial.

We keep going back to Bryan listing all the things he excelled at. Kaitlyn says soccer. Ziggler says wrestling.

WWE To Offer Brock Lesnar Less Money Next Year?, More On Kelly Kelly's Departure

Source: F4WOnline

- WWE has added Kelly Kelly to their Alumni roster. A person close to the former WWE Diva says we can expect to see a lot of announcements about new projects from her in the coming months.

- We noted before that most people within WWE expect the company to re-sign Brock Lesnar, especially now that the SummerSlam buyrate has come out.

F4WOnline reports that the feeling is that WWE will offer him another deal, but at a lower pay rate than his current deal. Unconfirmed reports earlier this year stated that Lesnar likely signed his current deal for around $5 million.

At the same time, one source says Lesnar will bring a lot more negotiating power to the table this time around because he's proven that he can sell pay-per-views.

WWE Live Event Results From St. Joseph, MO (9/28) - Punk Vs. Big Show, Ambrose In Action

Thanks to WrestlingINC.com reader Kaleb Huffman for sending in this report from last night's WWE live event at the St. Joseph Civic Arena in St. Joseph, MO:

The show opens with Justin Roberts introducing RAW General Manager AJ.

AJ comes to the ring and announces that John Cena will not be in St. Joseph. She says that The Big Show will replace Cena in the main event. Out comes an infuriated CM Punk, who confronts AJ and says that she is the worst GM ever. AJ responds by saying that tonight's main event will be a "fans choice" match, with fans voting to have a 2 out of 3 falls match (my personal choice) or a lumberjack match. Looks like we are going to have a lumberjack match. AJ says that full refunds will be given up until the second match because Cena was not there.

The first match was for the WWE Tag Team Championship with Daniel Bryan and Kane defending their titles against Kofi Kingston and R-Truth. The match had some great comedic spots mixed with good wrestling. Before the match started, Kane and Bryan held up their titles with Bryan being booed and Kane receiving loud cheers. Kane and Bryan controlled much of the match. One spot saw Kane, Truth and Kofi encouraging Bryan to join a group hug. Bryan proceeded to run towards the three and hit the turnbuckles with his legs. The finish saw Bryan going for the "No Lock" on Kofi, only to have Kofi power out. Kane blindly tagged Bryan's back and hit the chokeslam on Kofi for the victory.

The second match was for the WWE Divas Championship with Eve defending her title against Layla. Basic match between these two with Eve winning with her finisher. Both are mega hot live. Crowd really was not into this match.

Antonio Cesaro cut a pre-taped promo about his upcoming match with Zack Ryder. The promo generated some good heel heat for Cesaro.

Third match saw Michael Mcgillicutty defeat Dean Ambrose. I was surprised to see Ambrose had video graphics and actual music. The match had a really good spot when Ambrose knocked Mcgillicutty out of the ring and grabbed a chair from the outside and proceeded to sit in it. Mcgillicutty won with his lame finisher. Mcgillicutty played the face, which I found odd.

The fourth match was for the US Championship with Antonio Cesaro defending his title againstZack Ryder. Ryder had the crowd behind him, he was way over. Cesaro defeated him with the Neutralizer after Ryder missed a Ruff Ryder. Cesaro then left the ring celebrating in the entrance way, but decided to return to put the boots to Ryder. While he was stomping away, Ryder got up and whipped Cesaro into the ropes and gave him a Ruff Ryder.

Intermission.

The fifth match was Brodus Clay vs. Damien Sandow, and the Funkadactyls accompanied Clay to the ring. Then came Damien Sandow with a microphone in hand. Nice promo saying how he was our intellectual savior. The match was better than I expected. Sandow worked over Clay's knee, with both getting in a good amount of offense. The finish came when Clay hit the suplex on Sandow, followed by the splash for the three count. I was really surprised to see Sandow take the loss. After the match, Sandow crawled up the ramp on his belly then he slid back down. It was great stuff, I'm not sure how many people were watching him. Meanwhile Brodus was in the ring dancing with a handful of kids.

The sixth match was Santino vs. Tensai. Tensai dominated early on, and Santino seemed to be injured. A trainer came in and checked his knee out. Santino proceeded to do the power walk and walk it off. Tensai continued to dominate, although Santino mustered up some offense. The finish saw Santino's first Cobra attempt blocked by Tensai's forehead, only to see Santino go for it again and connect for the three count.

Randy Orton Injury Angle Held After SmackDown, WWE To Release "Paul Heyman Guy" T-Shirt

- After Big Show defeated Randy Orton on SmackDown and hit him with the WMD, Alberto Del Rio took advantage of the situation by assaulting The Viper. The two-time champion battered Orton as a measure of revenge after being on the receiving end of an RKO earlier in the night. Video of the attack has been posted on WWE.com.

The official WWE website suggests Orton will be sidelined, stating: "While the extent of Orton's injuries is unknown and it appears he may have lost more than just the No. 1 Contender's Match, the WWE Universe is well aware that WWE's Apex Predator is rarely down for long."

The angle will likely be used to explain Orton's absence from WWE programming while he films scenes for "12 Rounds: Reloaded" in Vancouver. Though he will be busy filming through at least the end of October, the multi-time champion will continue to appear at SmackDown tapings in the meantime. He is not scheduled for next Tuesday's show in Tulsa, Oklahoma, but will resume appearing at the following week's event in San Jose, California.

- WWE has plans to release a Paul Heyman T-Shirt featuring the tagline, "I'm A Paul Heyman Guy." The tagline stems from CM Punk referencing himself as a "Paul Heyman guy" during his infamous speech last year chastising WWE brass. To vote on three potential designs, click here.

Kayfabe Commentaries released a preview of their "YouShoot" with WWE Hall of Famer Tammy "Sunny" Sytch on Thursday where the trailblazing Diva revealed that she had an affair with "The British Bulldog" Davey Boy Smith while the two worked together years ago in the World Wrestling Federation. Georgia Smith, the daughter of the late wrestler, addressed Sytch's allegations Friday via Twitter.

"I have been contacted/tweeted about the whole Sunny "Affair" regarding my dad... I don't want to give this topic any attention. But that is complete lies and with what my brother, my mother and what my family have been through, she should have more respect," she wrote.

"Also, I don't know What she gets out of boasting/bragging about sleeping with thousands of wrestlers? That is pretty sad/pathetic."

She continued, "Don't worry people. I'm not letting it get to me. :) But I am aware of her comments and... She's got problems and likes attention!"

What Led To Kelly Kelly's WWE Departure, WWE Highlights Blonde Divas, Lilian Garcia

Source: F4WOnline

- WWE announced Friday afternoon via WWE.com that the organization has come to terms on the release of former Divas Champion Kelly Kelly. According to F4WOnline.com, the departure was mutual. The organization granted the former Divas Champion a leave of absence in May in hopes that she would remain and sign a new contract. She briefly returned in August, but indicated then that she would not be returning on a full-time schedule anytime soon since she was pursuing endeavors outside the organization. With Kelly still cold this week on returning, both parties decided to part ways.

- While the Divas locker room digs for Kaitlyn's blond attacker, the official WWE website has published a photo gallery highlighting fair-haired Divas of past and present. Those featured include Natalya, Beth Phoenix, Rosa Mendes, Stacy Keibler, Torrie Wilson, Trish Stratus, Terri Runnels and Michelle McCool.

- SmackDown ring announcer and songstress Lilian Garcia participated in a media blitz Friday in New York City promoting her performance during halftime at Metlife Stadium this Sunday when the New York Jets battle the San Francisco 49ers.

- Former WWE star Steve Blackman turns 49-years-old Friday. He currently operates a self-defense school in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania called "BlackmanMMA."

WWE SmackDown Results: New #1 Contender, Tag Team Tournament, Ryback Vs. Tensai And More

Welcome to our WrestlingINC.com Live WWE SmackDown Viewing Party. We will be providing live ongoing coverage of tonight's SmackDown, while you all can chime in with your thoughts throughout the show.

Please help spread word of tonight's coverage. Twitter users, please share this page by clicking the 'Share' button below:

Keep hitting REFRESH on your browser to get the most up-to-date results.

Tonight's show begins with the opening theme and pyro. We are in Buffalo, NY. Tonight, Randy Orton will face Big Show. We go to the ring as Big Show makes his entrance, We see a video of him knocking out Brodus Clay and Tensai on RAW.

Big Show says the most dominant force is back and he wants the World Title back. He says his last reign lasted 45 seconds. He says that was embarrassing and he had to watch the guy who beat him get beaten by Sheamus in 18 seconds at WrestleMania while he was in a match being ridiculed. He says nobody is making fun of him anymore. He says he's the one man on the roster than can defeat Sheamus. Randy Orton's music hits and he slowly makes his way down the ramp and gets in the ring.

Orton says he finds it funny how he's talking about beating Sheamus when he has yet to take out the most sadistic, dominant individual on the show, him. He says he has learned that their match tonight is for the #1 Contendership. He says he's a 9 time champion and if Show thinks he's going to stand between him and a 10th reign then he might not be standing. Show says he guesses than someone will either get hit with an RKO or a KO. Alberto Del Rio's music hits and he interjects as he makes his way down the aisle. He gets in the ring and gets hit with the RKO as Orton leaves up the ramp. We see a graphic for the debut of Miz Tv, tonight's guest: Sheamus. Santino faces Antonio Cesaro for the U.S. Title, next.

We're back from break and we see a video of Santino vs. Cesaro from last week with Aksana getting dumped by Cesaro. We go to the ring and Lilian Garcia makes the introductions.

United States Championship: Antonio Cesaro (c) vs. Santino

Antonio comes down without Aksana. Santino is out next. Cesaro gets a decided lead, early. Santino works his way up and from a headlock and hits a takedown and a bodyslam and goes for the Cobra. Cesaro cuts him off and goes for his throw but Santino rolls him up for 2. Cesaro hits an uppercut and hits his throw for a 2. Santino lands a Superkick out of nowhere and gets 2 on Cesaro. Cesaro goes up top but Santino cuts him off with a superplex attempt. Cesaro tries to go for the Neutralizer but Santino throws him off over his back and goes for a flying headbutt but Cesaro moves and Santino kisses the canvas. Cesaro hits the Gotch-Style Neutralizer for the win.

Winner by pin and STILL WWE United States Champion: Antonio Cesaro

We see a replay and a graphic for our main event and go to commercial.

We're back and Josh Mathews and Michael Cole talk about Kane and Daniels Bryan. Josh sends to a video of the restaurant scene from RAW.

We go to the ring at the tail-end of Beth Phoenix' entrance; Natalya is already in the ring. We see a Tout from Eve saying that she takes her position and the attack on Kaitlyn very seriously and this new information will garner serious repercussions.

JBL Talks WWE Hall Of Fame, If He Would Be Interested In One More Match

Source: Hollywood Life

Hollywood Life recently interviewed JBL, who is currently climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro for his Seven Summits Bermuda Challenge. Here are some highlights:

If he would be interested in one more match at WrestleMania next year: "I have zero and no desire for one more match. I mean you never say never, but I have no desire at all for one more match. WWE has never brought up one more match, so I don't err see it happening. You never know, but I have no desire to have one! There certainly isn't one in the cards, its something that I don't care to do."

If he would be interested in being inducted in the WWE Hall of Fame: "I would be tremendously honored if the Hall of Fame knocked on my door, that would be the biggest career highlight a person could ever have to even have my name mentioned as a possibility is quite an honor considering the great superstars that are in there. That is a lifetime achievement that is phenomenal. That is completely out of my control, I hope someday somebody puts my name up and I hope I am not laughed out of the room. But I can't control that, it would be a tremendous honor. Its not something I am expecting. There are plenty of great performers that should go ahead of me in the Hall as very well they should be."

JBL also discussed returning to commentary, if he would be interested in starring in a WWE Studios movie about his climbs and more. You can check out the full interview by clicking here.

2012 WWE SummerSlam PPV Buyrate Revealed - Did Brock Lesnar Vs. Triple H Help?

Source: Wrestling Observer Newsletter

According to new data released by WWE, the 2012 SummerSlam pay-per-view was a huge success with 350,000 worldwide pay-per-view buys. This breaks down to 264,000 North American buys but just 86,000 international. This is the most successful SummerSlam since 2008.

75% of the buys coming from North America indicates that Brock Lesnar vs. Triple H was the reason. Lesnar's main drawing power from his UFC days was big in the US and Canada but little international.

In comparison, the 2011 SummerSlam pay-per-view did 180,000 North American buys and 131,000 international buys for a total of 311,000. Last year was headlined by CM Punk vs. John Cena with Triple H as referee and Randy Orton vs. Christian.

Why Ricardo Rodriguez Is Wrestling Cara, Update On Brock Lesnar's WWE Future, NXT

Source: F4WOnline

- Summer Rae is the new WWE NXT Diva of the Week while Leo Kruger is the new Superstar of the Week.

- We noted back in the summer that WWE officials were likely going to offer Brock Lesnar another deal once his current deal expires at WrestleMania 29 next year. Lesnar's future with WWE was apparently going to be decided on the SummerSlam buyrate.

Now that those numbers have came out and this year's SummerSlam was the most successful since 2008, people in WWE note that Lesnar is almost guaranteed to receive another deal from WWE next year.

- We noted before that Ricardo Rodriguez wrestles under a mask as El Local against Sin Cara on an upcoming episode of WWE Saturday Morning Slam. Apparently one of the reasons officials put Ricardo against Cara is because they feel Alberto Del Rio's ring announcer works with Cara better than other Superstars on the roster.

Wade Barrett Speaks On His New Finisher, Edge Talks Natalya Vs. Beth Phoenix, Kelly

- WWE Diva Kelly Kelly did a photoshoot on Wednesday for Let It Fly Energy shots. Others taking part in the shoot included rapper Timbaland, American Idol's Erica Van Pelt plus MMA stars Gray Maynard and Ryan Bader.

- WWE's website has a interview up with Wade Barrett talking about his elbow finisher - The Souvenir. Barrett says he used the move back during his bare-knuckle fighting days. He added:

"It's a variation of a knockout blow. In bare-knuckle fighting, you're always looking to disable your opponent as quickly as possible. I have gone back to my roots as a fighter and it was something I wanted to bring into my arsenal. Wasteland and the Winds of Change are still there in my arsenal. I just think people are more intimidated by the prospect of getting an elbow smashed into their temple than the prospect of a slam."

- WWE Hall of Famer Edge wrote the following on Twitter about this week's SmackDown match between his girlfriend Beth Phoenix and Natalya. The match will air on Friday night:

TNA Head Reportedly Not A Fan Of Women's Wrestling, Bobby Roode On "TNA Today"

Source: Wrestling Observer Newsletter

- One of the reasons 'some women' have quit TNA Wrestling in the past year stems from the belief that Bruce Prichard, Senior Vice President of Programming and Talent Relations, is not in favor of women's wrestling. This would also explain why the Knockouts division is not as given as much prominence as in the past, with only a few talents being highlighted.

Angelina Love and Velvet Sky reportedly left the promotion on their own accord and the roles of Mickie James, Rosita, Sarita and Winter were greatly curtailed after Prichard came into power last October.

- On Wednesday's edition of TNA Today, Bobby Roode discusses his return to Impact Wrestling, what he did during his hiatus, and the Bound for Glory Series unfolding. He also addresses his former tag team partner, James Storm.

The Funkadactyls Accused Of Copying The Bella Twins, Kenny Bolin Leaving OVW

Source: F4WOnline

- Nicole Garcia, formerly known as Nikki of The Bella Twins, is none too pleased with The Funkadactyls, Cameron and Naomi. The former WWE Divas Champion's source of contention stems from her belief that the dance troupe is mimicking her and sister Brianna (a/k/a/ Brie Bella).

On Raw Monday, Cameron and Naomi appeared in matching silver attire reminiscent of the former WWE Divas. A fan showed Nicole an image of their outfit from the show via Twitter, to which she retorted, "Unbelievable!! They're trying to remake us haha."

She continued with the copy-cat accusations: "1st they steal our entrance, now our outfits, next is the booty shake & then they'll b calling themselves twins!"

- Kenny Bolin, who has appeared for Ohio Valley Wrestling for more than a decade and managed a number of wrestlers who found great success in WWE (John Cena, Bobby Lashley, The Miz and Mark Henry, among others) said on Facebook that tonight's television taping in Louisville, Kentucky, may be his final wrestling show. He has been battling health problems in recent years and is taking an indefinite leave of absence.

Bolin hopes to return in the future, but noted, "I just have too many things going on in my life right now that I have to deal with and need my attention first." He also said that he is leaving Louisville for the time being to deal with family issues. He hopes to appear on Saturday night shows and return to television in three to six months, but nothing is guaranteed.

9/24 WWE RAW Breakdown: Punk And Foley's Segment, Main Event With Cena And More

Source: Wrestling Observer Newsletter

- As noted before, the September 24th WWE RAW did a 2.72 rating with 3.78 million viewers - the lowest of the year and the lowest rated non-holiday RAW since 1997.

In the segment breakdown, they opened with the second strongest segment of the show with Paul Heyman, CM Punk, AJ Lee and Brad Maddox at a 2.99 quarter. Kofi Kingston vs. Dolph Ziggler lost 262,000 viewers. Santino Marella and Zack Ryder vs. Titus O'Neil and Darren Young lost 295,000 more viewers for a 2.59 quarter.

The segment with Punk and Mick Foley at 9pm gained 877,000 viewers, one of the best growth segments in weeks for a 3.22 quarter rating. Ryback vs. The Miz and a diner segment with Kane and Daniel Bryan lost 533,000 viewers. Tyson Kidd vs. Wade Barrett and the interview with Jerry Lawler stayed even. This isn't confirmed but it's likely a loss with Kidd vs. Barrett and then the returns for Lawler.

David Otunga, Ricardo Rodriguez and Alberto Del Rio vs. Sin Cara, Sheamus and Rey Mysterio lost 129,000 viewers for a 2.75 quarter at 10pm. Once again, the third hour of RAW is hurting people tuning in at 10pm. The third segment with Kane and Bryan and the attack from Cody Rhodes and Damien Sandow lost 412,000 viewers for a 2.45 quarter rating. This was one of the worst RAW quarter ratings in well over a decade until Layla and Alicia Fox vs. Beth Phoenix and Eve Torres plus Tensai vs. Brodus Clay lost 34,000 viewers for a 2.43 quarter rating.

The final segment with John Cena, Punk and Heyman gained 428,000 viewers for a 2.74 quarter rating - a very bad number for the overrun.

Incident numero dos went down on Friday ... we're told Roberts was rushing from Pittsburgh International to a show at Penn State ... when cops caught him driving 74 mph in a 55 zone and hit him with a speeding ticket ... this time it ran him a cool $160."

Reason For Lack Of Pop During Punk - Ryback Segment, Foley, Events Added To WrestleMania Weekend

- The backstage segment during last night's episode of RAW was not shown on the Titan Tron to the live audience, which would explain the lack of reaction. A fan that attended last night's taping told me that he did not realize what happened backstage until he watched the show at home.

- As noted earlier, a fan jumped the crowd barrier during last night's show and momentarily got in the ring during the Ryback vs. The Miz match. There were actually two fans that charged the ring, however one of them was tackled before he could hit the ring.

- Mick Foley and comic Brendon Burns will be performing their show, Good God Almighty!, at the Astor Theatre in Perth, WA, Australia on February 1st, 2013. The pre-sale is underway for a couple of more hours at this link, you can use the promotion code MANKIND.

- Pro Wrestling Syndicate (PWS) and their sister promotion, Bombshell Ladies Of Wrestling (BLOW), will be holding three events during WrestleMania weekend next year. PWS will hold events at the Recreation Center in Rahway, New Jersey on April 4th & 5th, while BLOW will run a show in Rahway on April 7th, the Sunday of WrestleMania.

Jim Ross Shares His Thoughts On Seth Rollins & Skip Bayless, Eve Torres News

- WWE Divas Champion Eve Torres has re-launched her official website at EveTorres.com.

- Jim Ross wrote the following in response to ESPN's Skip Bayless comparing WWE and NFL that we posted about earlier:

"Silly for an allegedly intelligent #espn talent @lindacohn to compare #nfl integrity to #WWE. Apples 2 oranges. WWE isn't a sport. #WWE #RAW earns bigger RTGS than #espn sports center OR 1st Take. WWE isn't a sport & #nfl is. @RealSkipBayless=poor man's Jesse Ventura."

Ross also shared his thoughts on NXT Champion Seth Rollins:

"NXT Champ. Upside good. More work 2do. Has a shot if he seizes it."

Backstage News On Ryback And CM Punk's Encounter At RAW, Cena's Plans For HIAC

Source: PWInsider

As seen at the end of last night's RAW from Albany, WWE Champion CM Punk was confronted by Ryback after Punk attacked Mick Foley backstage.

This led to speculation that Ryback would be feuding with Punk but PWInsider reports that the staredown between the two was just a tease for fans, just something to think about for the future.

The plan is for John Cena to still wrestle Punk at next month's Hell In a Cell pay-per-view. Speculation last night was that WWE did the Ryback vs. Punk tease as a back-up plan in case Cena can't compete, but that hasn't been confirmed yet.

Mickie James Taking Time Off To Nurse Rib Injury, Comments On Her TNA Status

Mickie James is taking a few weeks off from competing to nurse a rib injury. She aggravated the injury during TNA Wrestling's live event tour last week.

The two-time TNA Women's Knockout Champion tweeted Monday, "Walking into the Docs to finally get my ribs X-rayed... Been working through the pain 2 weeks too long! Lucky I'm T... U... Triple F... =O."

James released an update on the procedure Tuesday, where she revealed that her ribs are deeply bruised.

"Thanks gang for all your thoughts... Nothing's broken thank God! Just deeply bruised," James wrote. "Been working through it so not allowing them to heal. So I've decided this week to take a few weeks off to rest & heal properly so I will be 100%! Also lots to think about! Be blessed... Love~MJ."

Once the centerpiece of the Knockouts division, James has been sporadically featured on TNA Wrestling programming in recent months. When asked whether her infrequent appearances on Impact Wrestling are as a result of the injury, she responded, "No! Had nothing to do with it... Who knows?"

- Representing WWE and The National Guard, Big Show spoke to students at Albany High School in Albany, New York on Monday afternoon. Show had positive words and advice for the kids:

"My daughter turns 15 in October. It's terrifying to see, where is her focus? Is she too worried about MTV? Is she worried too much about fashion? Is she thinking about her grades? What does she want to do? Sometimes young people, you think you're alone and lost and don't know what your place in the world is. But everybody gets lost. You can achieve excellence. There's nothing that can stop you. Nothing. If you make the sacrifices, make the commitments to what you want to do, you will achieve excellence."

- Coming out of last night's RAW, Ryback's winning streak, as far as TV and pay-per-view matches go in 2012, is up to 31. Sheamus is right behind him with a 25 match streak.
